As I have told you in previous posts, I am Venezuelan, specifically from Carúpano, Sucre state. And this post is dedicated to the place where I was born.
Since I was a child I have lived between here and there, on one side Ciudad Bolivar, land that has me trapped in its charms, on the other Carúpano, my origin, the place that holds a millennial power to make me feel special.
I do not know if it is the passage of time, or if things have changed, although I remember that everything is as it was the last time, which was 4 years ago that I visited my town. In this opportunity to see my grandmother I understood many things that before I saw in a different way.
There are new faces, new covers on the houses, but in spite of that, the same people are still the same, it is as if time stands still there and despite everything there is still something that characterizes the place, the essence. In my case, the same key that fills me with intrigue is still in the house, the one that impregnates the walls with mysteries and stories of the past that reveal my deepest roots.
Carúpano is that place in the world where birds dive into the water for the pure pleasure of feeling the salt between their feathers. It is the place where you see barefoot and shirtless children, with their skin toasted and their faces full of freckles from the sun, but with an enormous joy that can be heard in their laughter that travels in the wind.

Carúpano is where in the daytime the sky has more colors on its canvas and at night the stars come down to greet you while the waves of the sea embrace you into the deepest and most relaxing sleep there can be.

Carúpano is a place full of good people, by the way, with a wide smile on their face and the ability to talk with their hands, there where all the paisanos are "cousins".
Carúpano is the sand between the toes, the shells on the feet and the sun that stings the skin. It is an immense human warmth, where everything is "right there" and what is near is pointed out with the lips.
Carúpano is more than dogfish empanadas and mollusk preparations , more than flavor on the plate... there is history on its walls!

Carúpano is the mother earth where the waters of my Playa are hidden... Güiria de la Playa. This blissful little beach, not in a derogatory sense but in an allusive sense to its size, keeps everything contrary to its size in magnificence 🙌🏻✨. Güiria de la Playa is one of the many towns of Carúpano, it is on its outskirts, on the road to Playa Uveros.

I am going to tell you some curiosities of my hometown, if someday you want to visit it:
- The cemetery is the classic of the images of the Latin villages, with elevated and personalized vaults, the day of the dead of celebrates a party to remember those who are in eternal sleep, it is not known the date of the oldest.
- The sand of the sea is black and dense, which means that it is a cleaning beach, yes, there are different types of beaches according to their functions, in this one with that characteristic, its function is to take advantage of the biological material of the sea, so its currents lead to this beach to be filtered or purified. This is done through some mollusks like the famous Guacucos or Chipi Chipi Chipi that feed on it.
- The water is cold and very breezy
- The depth does not exceed two meters.
- The swell is of low intensity.
- There is no sand on the shore, but shells and coarse particles of shells that have worn out over time.
- The vegetation on the shore is coconut palms, beach grape bushes and almond trees.
- Whatever day you choose to visit the beach, you will have a great time!

Hola, holaaa! Cómo les he comentado en post anteriores, soy Venezolana, específicamente de Carúpano, estado Sucre. Y este post va dedicado al lugar que me vió nacer.
Desde muy niña he vivido entre aquí y allá, por un lado Ciudad Bolívar, tierra que me tiene atrapada en sus encantos, por el otro Carúpano, mi origen, el lugar que encierra un poder milenario para hacerme sentir especial.
No sé si será el paso del tiempo, o si será que las cosas han cambiado, aunque recuerdo que todo está tal cual la última vez, que fue hace 4 años que visite mi pueblo. En esta oportunidad para ver a mi abuela entendí muchas cosas que antes veía de otro modo.
Hay nuevas caras, nuevas portadas en las casas, pero a pesar de eso, sigue siendo igual la misma gente, es como si el tiempo se detiene allí y pese a todo persiste algo que caracteriza el lugar, la esencia. En mi caso, sigue en la casa esa misma llave que me llena de intriga, esa que impregna las paredes de misterios y de historias del pasado que revelan mis más profundas raíces.
Carúpano es ese lugar en el mundo donde las aves se lanzan en picada al agua por el puro placer de sentir la sal entre sus plumas. Es el lugar donde ves a los niños descalzos y sin camisa, con su piel tostada y la cara llena de pecas por el sol, pero con una alegría enorme que se escucha en sus risas que viajan en el viento.

Carúpano es donde en el día el cielo tiene más colores en su lienzo y en la noche las estrellas bajan a saludarte mientras las olas del mar te abrazan hacia el sueño más profundo y relajante que pueda haber.

Carúpano es un lugar lleno de gente buena, por demás, con una sonrisa amplia en la cara y la capacidad de hablar con las manos, allí donde todos los paisanos son "primos".
Carúpano es la arena entre los dedos, las cochas en los pies y el sol que pica la piel. Es un calor humano inmenso, dónde todo queda "ahí mismito" y lo que está cerca se señala con los labios.
Carúpano es más que empanadas de cazón y preparaciones de moluscos , más qué sabor en el plato... hay historia en sus paredes!

Carúpano es la madre tierra donde se encuentran ocultas las aguas de mi Playa... Güiria de la Playa. Está dichosa playita, no en un sentido despectivo sino en un sentido alusivo a su tamaño, guarda todo lo contrario a su tamaño en magnificencia 🙌🏻✨. Güiria de la Playa es uno de los tantos pueblos de Carúpano, queda a sus afueras, en el camino hacia Playa Uveros.

Les voy a comentar algunas curiosidades de mi Pueblo de origen, si algún día lo quieren visitar:
- El cementerio es el clásico de las imágenes de los pueblos latinos, con bóvedas elevadas y personalizadas, el día de los muertos de celebra una fiesta para recordar a quienes se encuentran en el sueño eterno, no se sabe la fecha de la más antigua.
- La arena del mar es negra y densa, lo cual quiere decir que es una playa limpiadora, si, hay distintos tipos de playas según sus funciones, en ésta con esa característica, su función es aprovechar el material biológico del mar, por lo que sus corrientes conducen a esta playa para ser filtrados o purificadas. Eso lo hace a través de algunos moluscos como los famosos Guacucos o Chipi Chipi que se alimentan de eso.
- El agua es fría y tiene mucha brisa
- La profundidad no excede los dos metros.
- El oleaje es de baja intensidad.
- No hay arena en la orilla, sino conchas y partículas gruesas de conchas que se han desgastado con el tiempo.
- La vegetación de la orilla es de palmeras de coco, arbustos de uvas playeras y almendrones.
- Sea cual sea el día que elijas para visitar la playa, la vas a pasar fenomenal!
