My city, Medan, North Sumatra, Indonesia is famous for its quality durians. You could say durian is a trademark in this city. And people here on average like durian.
Finding Quality Durian is a Tricky Thing
I have always dared to go anywhere alone. But not by going to eat durian.
I am afraid that I will fail to choose a quality durian. Often the durian meat doesn't taste good. Sometimes it is sour like rotten cheese, and sometimes it is tasteless. That is why an honest and expert seller is needed to choose quality durian.
Visit to GADARSI DURIAN
I took my brother to eat durian in the middle of town. Usually, we take the durian home. But this time we have to avoid bringing durian home, because my mother can't eat durian. We were afraid that our mother would join us in the meal if we brought the durian back home.
For information, my mother is suffering from high blood pressure, so she shouldn't eat durian. Durian will worsen the symptoms of high blood pressure and will make the body hot.
That's why durian is also suitable to eat in cold weather, especially at night to warm the body. Eating durian is like eating fermented food ingredients that feel warm inside the body.
So we found a place to eat durian that we had never been to before. The place is called "GADARSI DURIAN".
Benefits of Eating Durian at GADARSI DURIAN
Eating durian at a direct seller's place can be an advantage. But this is the first time I have found a place to sell durian that is profitable for consumers.
In "GADARSI DURIAN" we can find the taste of durian to our liking. Because, we can replace one durian that has been split and then tasted, with another durian, if the durian that has been tested doesn't suit our tastes.
For your information, everyone has their taste for durian. Some like durian with no taste, some like durian with a slightly sour taste, and some like durian with a completely sweet taste. Now, finding a completely sweet durian is a bit difficult.
This "durian replacement" rule also applies to buyers who decide to bring durian go to home. If the buyer wants to replace the durian, the buyer is allowed to bring the durian back to the place with the applicable time requirements.
But eating durian in a place directly is more profitable, of course. Buyers can immediately ask for a durian replacement if they find a durian with a taste that doesn't suit their taste.
Durians that have been opened as a result of the buyer's exchange will usually be sold to cake makers who need large amounts of durian for cake mixes that require a strong durian aroma.
Time to Eat Durian!
My brother and I like durian with a sweet taste. So we tried to find a delicious durian with a sweet taste.
Luckily we found "GADARSI DURIAN". Another advantage if the buyer eats on the spot is that the buyer can ask the seller for help to split the durian which is quite difficult and requires special skills. Because the durian spikes are quite sharp.
A seller is cutting durian for us.
At first, the durian that was split for me and my brother did not have a sweet taste. After eating one durian seed, we asked for another one.
Luckily, on the second durian, it tasted right with my tongue and my brother's tongue.
We bought two large durians for 70K IDR. 35K IDR per a durian or around 2.3 USD.
My brother was unable to finish a full durian. My brother only ate some durian pulp. Finally, I have to finish all this durian.
I have to go home full of delicious durian fruit! This is not worth imitating because maybe a person could faint if they eat too much durian which causes blood pressure to rise and the body also becomes very hot.
Worthy or Not?
75K IDR for two durians is worth buying, especially when it's not durian season. If it's durian season, the price can be even cheaper.
I had a wonderful experience at “GADARSI DURIAN”. So next time I will come back to this seller's place.

Oh it is durian season right. I'm from Sri Lanka. There is a tree in my house too. This time there are no fruits yet. But I saw some duriyan stalls beside the road in some areas. I love too.
