Saludos viajeros!

Yo obviamente no pude resistirme a comprar algo.

TEXT IN ENGLISH

Greetings travelers! I want to tell you about my trip to Tigre this weekend.
Our trip started on Saturday at 10am, nice weather so we decided to take a family trip.
Tigre is located north of the city of Buenos Aires, approximately 1 hour away by train. To go there, we must go to Retiro train station, for this we take a bus right in front of our house, line 126 that leaves us directly at this terminal; from Retiro, we must take the Tigre branch train, whose terminal is precisely my destination: Tigre.
As I told you, the day was super nice, a cool but not freezing weather, although when we left home it was colder, that did not stop us.
All this can be seen just leaving the Mitre Line train station. You are greeted by a beautiful traffic circle (or rotunda as they say here) with the waving flags of Argentina and the Municipality of Tigre. A few meters away you start to see gastronomic places and many places to take catamaran rides along the Paraná river delta, these are a bit expensive, we did not take any but I hope soon we can come back to live that experience.
*The approximate duration of these rides is 1 hour and 30 minutes.
One of my travel companions is a fan of parks, she saw one in the distance and we had to go and see it.
In Tigre, you can also find stalls selling handicrafts, clothes, handmade jewelry. Cute little things to give as gifts. All made by the enterprising women of this town. I obviously could not resist buying something.
It was getting close to lunch time, so my husband invited us to have lunch, we didn't get much variety, there are many fast food places, but we wanted something different. We found a place called Gaia Cervecería Artesanal and decided to have lunch there. Milanesas for everyone! (Except for Miranda, who is not a big fan and she did go with her Happy Meal).
We strolled a little bit more through the different streets, but unfortunately my husband had a work emergency, so we had to interrupt our trip, we had to visit Puerto de Frutos, also in this town, where they sell much more handicrafts and (according to what I have been told) there is a museum dedicated to Mate! So I'll be back soon to bring that tour!
For now, my tour in Tigre is over.... with the firm promise to come back!
