Beach Sunday. / Domingo playero.
My birthday was just a few days away when a friend invited me to the beach for the weekend to celebrate. I'm not the type of person who celebrates her birthday, but since it was a trip, of course I accepted the invitation.
Faltaban pocos días para mi cumpleaños cuando una amiga me invita a la playa el fin de semana para celebrar, no soy el tipo de persona que celebra su cumpleaños, pero tratándose de un viaje por supuesto que acepté la invitación.
The beach is three hours away from the state where I live, so we had to wake up at about 3:30 in the morning to have everything ready to leave no later than 5:00 and we made it! We managed to be on time to enjoy our whole day at the beach.
La playa queda a tres horas desde el estado donde vivo, por lo que tuvimos que despertarnos a eso de las tres y media de la mañana para tener todo listo y salir a más tardar a las cinco ¡Y lo logramos! logramos estar a tiempo para disfrutar todo nuestro día playero.
The air feels different when you are on the coast, you can feel the salt and humidity all around.
El aire se siente diferente cuando estas en la costa, puedes sentir la sal y la humedad por todo el ambiente.
Our destination was Mayorquina beach, located in the Morrocoy National Park in Falcon state. Most of the tourist areas of the National Park are the keys, which perhaps in another publication I will show you some of the ones I have visited; but this place we were going to, besides not being easily accessible, it is forbidden to get there by boat. You have to walk about an hour to get to the beach from behind. The path is not that complicated, but it is advisable to bring plenty of hydration and to be well covered from the sun and mosquitoes.
Nuestro destino era la playa Mayorquina ubicada en el Parque Nacional Morrocoy en el estado Falcón. La mayoría de espacios turísticos del Parque Nacional son los cayos, que quizás en otra publicación les muestre alguno de los que he visitado; pero este lugar al que íbamos aparte que no es de fácil acceso esta prohibido llegar en lancha. Se debe caminar alrededor de una hora para poder llegar por detrás a la playa. El camino no se hace tan complicado, pero es recomendable llevar mucha hidratación y cubrirte muy bien del sol y los zancudos.

After all the journey we finally arrived at the beautiful paradise called Mayorquina. It is a spectacle of blue, turquoise and crystal clear waters.
The place was deserted, as I said before it is not a tourist area, so you are not going to find vendors, so we had everything prepared in the suitcase.

Después de todo el recorrido llegamos por fin al hermoso paraíso llamado Mayorquina. Es un espectáculo de azul, turquesas y aguas cristalinas.
El lugar estaba desierto, como dije antes no es una zona turística, por lo que no vas a encontrar vendedores, nosotros llevábamos todo listo en nuestra maleta.
And immediately after arriving, everyone began to dress and undress accordingly to enjoy our day at the beach. We are a very curious group of travelers, so before getting in the water we spent time exploring the surroundings for the best photo angles.
E inmediatamente después de llegar, cada uno comenzó a vestirse y desvestirse como se debe para disfrutar de nuestro día playero. Nosotros somos un grupo de viajeros muy curioso, así que antes de meternos al agua dedicamos tiempo a explorar los alrededores en busca de los mejores ángulos para las fotografías.
Researching the place before the trip, we saw many photographs in a rocky place where the waves were breaking harder, that was one of the main reasons to go out to walk the beach.
Investigando el lugar antes del viaje, vimos muchas fotografías en un lugar rocoso donde rompían con más fuerza las olas, esa fue una de las principales razones para salir a recorrer la playa.
The area is surrounded by gigantic rocks that can be crossed. There, the waves were breaking the hardest, but it was such a unique spot that we decided to take a couple of pictures.
La zona esta rodeada de rocas gigantescas que se pueden atravesarse. Allí reventaban con mayor fuerza las olas, pero era un rinconcito tan único que decidimos hacernos un par de fotos.
It was a lot of fun to be there, especially because every minute I had to stand up to stop the wave from rolling over me, although it did knock me down on several occasions. I really liked the pictures that were taken here.
Fue muy divertido estar allí, sobre todo porque a cada minuto tenia que estarme parando para que la ola no me revolcara, aunque si que me tumbo en varias ocasiones. Me gustaron mucho las fotos que se hicieron aquí.
Although the beach is beautiful, the place where we spent most of our time in the water was in this lake that forms just a few steps from the shore. It is a nice place where you can relax for as long as you want.
Si bien la playa es hermosa, el lugar donde pasamos la mayoría del tiempo metidos en le agua fue en este lago que se forma a unos pasos de la orilla. Un espacio bastante agradable y menos movido donde puedes relajarte el tiempo que quieras.
I say goodbye to this Venezuelan Caribbean paradise with the emotion of having known it and grateful to my friends who took me to enjoy a beach pre-birthday.
Always remember to respect the natural areas you visit and enjoy them in a healthy way.
