Since the first announcement of a field trip to Batu Caves, my thought drift back to 2013 ago, the first time in my life i go and set foot in Batu Caves. Unfortunately, I am so traumatized by an incident that left my legs shaking and damp my curiosity about the caves.
To recount a bit, because someone falll from 10 meters above the ground, damn. Unfortunately, the injury too severe, and the sound of an ambulance scary me so much. Finally, the second time I visit, I finally muster the courage to climb the stairs to the finish line. Thank God.
So, the Hive Fest field trip yesterday its my third time to Batu Caves, and if nothing else urgent happened, I probably not have come back. Seriously, let me share my best moments at Batu Caves at Hive Fest, and it will be the best of 2025.
Climb in Batu Caves isn't as easy as you might think, just climb stairs, big NO. The biggest obstacle is fatigue, your sore feet after climbing 272 steps, the pressure of hundreds of people trying just as hard as you, and finally, the monkeys who won't let you climb so easily.
As I climbed the steps, I see a mother monkey and her baby monkey in a position that deeply move me. Usually, I grumble because they sometimes the monkey surprise me, but this time it felt so beautiful and moved me a little. It just a sight of a monkey hold and nursing her baby, but I haven't brought enough food for the nursing monkey.

Standing on top of Batu Caves, looking around, the place hadn't changed since 2024. I even saw the same person, like a priest (for Christians) or a Ustadz(for Muslims), chanting prayers. I'd also mentioned last year that it was a cleansing ritual, as it felt like they were washing their bodies with water.
Every time I go to Batu Caves, I'm always with a different person. So, every moment is special. It's not about this place, but about the stories we create today with different people. Even though you'll definitely get bored of go to the same places all the time, isn't who you're with the most interesting?
See you the next time hive friends!

Hi! Let me introduce myself, its me Wita. I'm usually very interested in new things. Let me be creative with at least these writings. I welcome any suggestions, as long as you mention them politely in the comments section. We can have a free discussion every now and then.
Don't think too much of me as you see in my posts. I'm just sharing what I have, and some of it is actually quite enjoyable to post. It's just that I don't really like posting bad things. I hope we continue to work together to build this Hive community. You can find me on my various social media platforms:
I'm just a woman who wants to write whatever's on my mind. I really enjoy cooking, occasionally traveling, and doing whatever I like. I want to live like a bird flying freely in nature. But I know I'm only human. So, I can only write freely like a bird that can fly with its two wings.

I will be scared too if I was so close to an incident like this !! By the way the caves looks amazing 😍
What a wonderful cave. I think it's really challenging to go upstairs but as someone who like to walk, it's an amazing journey would be.
I can really feel your mix of fear and excitement, Miss Wita! I’ve never been to Batu Caves yet, but climbing 272 steps sounds like such a challenge.
A very beautiful and pleasant place. I really enjoyed reading your entire blog.

That was a very beautiful cave, one of a kind cave that I saw. This is a very nice tourist attraction in Kuala Lumpur MALAYSIA. Glad you were able to explore this place.
I would really love to go here. I've just seen this in pictures but it is a different experience when you get to see it in person.
