Hola querida comunidad de Hive, hoy les quería contar un poco sobre mis vacaciones. Este mes estoy de vacaciones y junto a unos amigos decidimos ir a algunos de los sitios más lindos de la provincia de Córdoba en Argentina. Córdoba es un lugar muy lindo, con gente maravillosa, muchos paisajes hermosos y mucha naturaleza para ofrecer. En este post, les contare sobre mi viaje a Rio Ceballos, donde vivimos un día intenso de aventura. Espero lo disfruten.
Hello dear Hive community, today I want to write a little bit about my vacation. This month I am on vacation and together with some friends we decided to go to some of the most beautiful places in the province of Cordoba in Argentina. Cordoba is a very nice place, with wonderful people, many beautiful landscapes and a lot of nature to offer. In this post, I will tell you about my trip to Rio Ceballos, where we lived an intense day of adventure. I hope you enjoy it.
Empezando el viaje / Starting the journey
Rio Ceballos es una hermosa ciudad dentro de la provincia de Córdoba, a la cual se puede llegar en transporte público desde la ciudad de Córdoba Capital, el tiempo de viaje es de 1 hora. Esta ciudad es muy linda y tiene muchas cosas por hacer. Sin embargo, nosotros queríamos un poco más de aventura y decidimos ir a las afueras de esta ciudad, específicamente al dique "La Quebrada" para empezar nuestro recorrido, en ese lugar tomamos lindas fotos y fue muy agradable ver ese majestuoso embalse de agua. Luego de tomar un par de fotos, la verdadera aventura comenzaría cuando decidimos ir hacia la cascada "Los hornillos", un lugar con una cascada majestuosa y un contacto con la naturaleza extremo, el pequeño detalle era que para llegar ahí debíamos emprender un largo recorrido de 2 horas atreves de la quebrada, para encontrar la cascada.
Rio Ceballos is a beautiful city within the province of Cordoba, which can be reached by public transport from the city of Cordoba Capital, the travel time is 1 hour. This city is very nice and has a lot of things to do. However, we wanted a little more adventure and decided to go to the outskirts of this city, specifically to the dam "La Quebrada" to start our tour, in that place we took nice pictures and it was very nice to see that majestic water reservoir. After taking a couple of pictures, the real adventure would begin when we decided to go to the waterfall "Los Hornillos", a place with a majestic waterfall and an extreme contact with nature, the small detail was that to get there we had to undertake a long journey of 2 hours through the gorge, to find the waterfall
Camino a la cascada / road to the waterfall
De camino a la Cascada, tuvimos que sortear muchas rocas y obstrucciones en el camino, además de la alta temperatura que había en el lugar, sin embargo, cada tramo que recorríamos valía la pena, ya que podíamos observar la naturaleza en su esplendor, incluso pudimos observar un par de serpientes en el camino, las cuales no parecían venenosas (En la cascada, encontraríamos la mayor sorpresa). Durante el camino cada tanto nos íbamos refrescando en los riachuelos que íbamos encontrando, como pueden ver en las imágenes. Finalmente, luego de hacer este recorrido, llegamos a nuestro destino. La cascada "Los hornillos", estaba ahí, fue cuando pensamos que había valido aún más la pena nuestra aventura.
On the way to the waterfall, we had to overcome many rocks and obstacles on the way, in addition to the high temperature that was in the place, however every stretch that we traveled was worth it, as we could observe nature in its splendor, we could even see a couple of snakes on the road, which did not seem poisonous (In the waterfall, we would find the biggest surprise). Along the way we were refreshing ourselves in the streams that we were finding as you can see in the pictures. Finally, after making this journey, we arrived at our destination, the waterfall "Los hornillos", was there, it was when we thought it was even more worth our adventure.
La cascada y sus sorpresas / The waterfall and its surprises
Llegamos a la cascada y no podía ser más impresionante, después de tanto caminar, el agua de esa cascada nos llamaba. Pasamos un lindo rato, nadando, haciendo clavados desde las rocas y conversando. Luego de un rato, llegaría las grandes sorpresas... Dos serpientes y un par de sapos, aparecerían en la orilla de la cascada y una de ellas era la famosa Yarará, conocida por su peligroso veneno. Una picadura de esta serpiente a una distancia de 3 horas del hospital más cercano, podía ser de muchísimo peligro, por lo que decidimos recoger nuestras cosas y retirarnos del lugar, al fin y al cabo nosotros los humanos somos los invitados de la naturaleza, ya habíamos disfrutado bastante y era hora de retirarnos. No dejó de ser un momento escalofriante pero muy majestuoso ver a estos animales en su habitad.
We arrived at the waterfall and it couldn't be more impressive, after so much walking, the water of that waterfall was calling us. We spent a nice time, swimming, diving from the rocks and talking. After a while, the big surprises would arrive... Two snakes and a couple of toads would appear at the waterfall's edge and one of them was the famous Yarará, known for its dangerous venom. A bite from this snake at a distance of 3 hours from the nearest hospital, could be very dangerous, so we decided to gather our things and leave the place, after all we humans are the guests of nature, we had enjoyed enough and it was time to leave. It was still a chilling but very majestic moment to see these animals in their habitat.

Rio Ceballos es un hermoso lugar, tienes muchas opciones, desde las más tranquilas, hasta la más aventureras, la cascada de "Los hornillos" es un lugar muy hermoso y vale la pena hacer esas 4 o 5 horas de caminata para encontrarse con la naturaleza en su máximo esplendor, eso sí hay que tener mucho cuidado, porque los verdaderos habitantes del lugar (los animales), pueden dejar perplejo a más de uno. Me vine contento porque a pesar de un par sustos, nadie me quitara las experiencias y las historias que puedo contar de este mágico viaje a las sierras chicas.
Espero que les haya gustaba este espacio de aventuras, próximamente estaré de vuelta en otros lugares de las sierras Chicas de Córdoba y les estaré contando. ¡Nos vemos a la próxima!
Rio Ceballos is a beautiful place, you have many options, from the quietest to the most adventurous, the waterfall of "Los hornillos" is a very beautiful place and it is worth those 4 or 5 hours of walking to meet nature in its maximum splendor, that if you have to be very careful, because the real inhabitants of the place (the animals), can leave more than one perplexed. I came back happy because in spite of a couple of scares, no one will take away the experiences and stories that I can tell of this magical trip to the Sierras Chicas.
