Vasudhara Falls is a mysterious and beautiful waterfall located at a distance of about 6 km from Mana village. It is a total of 9 km from Badrinath. The height of this waterfall is about 400 feet (122 meters) and its water appears like pearls.
The biggest attraction and mystery of Vasudhara Falls is that it is believed that its water falls only on the pious, not on the sinners. Due to this belief, people from far and wide come to see this waterfall and stand under it to try to know if they are "paapmukt".
According to mythology, the Pandavas used this route to go to heaven and Sahadev gave up his life here. This waterfall is surrounded by snow-capped peaks (like Neelkanth, Chaukhambha and Balkumbh) and lush green mountains, which give it a picturesque view.
The serene and divine environment around the waterfall is an ideal place for nature lovers and those seeking spiritual peace.
To reach Vasudhara Falls, one has to trek about 6 km from Mana Village. The trek can be moderate to a little difficult as the path is rocky and steep at some places. The journey usually takes 2-3 hours (one way).
While trekking to Vasudhara, wear comfortable shoes and carry water, snacks and a first aid kit. The area remains closed in winters due to heavy snowfall. The time from May to October is considered the best to visit here, as the weather remains pleasant during this time and the Badrinath Yatra is also open. The weather can change anytime in the hilly areas, so it is good to carry warm clothes and a raincoat.
If you want to experience nature, spirituality and trekking together, then Mana Village and Vasudhara Falls can be a great place for you.
