Greetings dear community
I am passing by to share the wonders of a beautiful place in my beautiful country Venezuela. I was invited by a nephew. He lives in this town and since he arrived, he does not stop talking about his customs and traditions, and extending again and again his invitation for the family to get organized and go there.
Mochima is a National Park known for its beautiful beaches. It is located in the northeastern region of Venezuela, between the towns of Barcelona, Puerto La Cruz and Cumaná. The good thing is that it is not only its beaches that attract and excite tourists. Although Mochima is a small town, it has beautiful places to visit and share.

Saludos estimada comunidad. Por acá paso para compartir las maravillas de un lugar hermoso en mi bello país Venezuela. Fui invitada por un sobrino. Él vive en este pueblo y desde que llegó, no deja de hablar de sus costumbres y tradiciones, ni de extender una y otra vez su invitación para que la familia se organizara y llegara hasta allá. Mochima, es un Parque Nacional conocido por sus hermosas playas. Se encuentra ubicado en l región Nororiental de Venezuela, entre las poblaciones de Barcelona, Puerto La Cruz y Cumaná. Lo bueno de todo es que no sólo son sus playas las que atraen y entusiasma a los turista. A pesar de ser Mochima un público pequeño, tiene espacios bellos para visitar y compartir.
Mochima has been founded more than forty years ago. For those who want to go to the village, I suggest making stops at the viewpoints to visualize and appreciate its beauty. With these first views the emotions are present, they do not cease to be in constant motion. From Caracas to Mochima is approximately six hours. There are people who claim to get there faster, but it is always good to be cautious.

Mochima se fundó hace más de cuarenta años. Para los que quieran ir al pueblo, sugiero hacer paradas en los miradores para visualizar y apreciar su belleza. Con estas primeras vistas las emociones se hacen presentes, no dejan de estar en constante movimiento. De Caracas a Mochima hay aproximadamente seis horas. Hay gente que asegura llegar más rápido, pero siempre es bueno ser precavido.
I had the opportunity to visit three beaches located on the islands of Mochima. Las Maritas, La Laguna and Playa Blanca. I can affirm that one is better than the other but, all of them are spectacular. Each one with its own characteristics makes them different, but beautiful.
I told you that it is not only its beaches that attract, its people, the fishing area, its culture and the whole set of things present there makes it special.
I was there during the carnival celebration. My nephew is right, there are no words to describe this place. Maybe some pictures will help to do it.

Tuve la oportunidad de conocer tres playas ubicadas en las islas de Mochima. Las Maritas, La Laguna y Playa Blanca. Puedo afirmar que una es mejor que la otra pero, todas son espectaculares. Cada una con sus características las hace ser diferentes, pero bellas. Les dije que no sólo son sus playas las que atraen, su gente, la zona de pescadores, su cultura y todo el conjunto de cosas allí presente lo hace especial. Estuve durante la celebración del carnaval. Mi sobrino tiene razón, no hay palabras para describir este espacio. Quizá algunas fotografías ayuden a hacerlo.

As a good hiker and for those who like this practice I will tell you that I got a route that leads directly to the nearest beach called El Pozo. El Pozo has a coral reef and a hatchery of sea urchins that can be seen everywhere. There is also a fresh water spring where shrimps are bred. The most curious thing is that this small space is maintained by a 75 year old man. His energy and vitality are admirable. Is it worth going to Mochima? Of course it is. Welcome to all of you.

Como buena senderista y para quienes les gusta esta práctica le comento que conseguí una ruta que lleva directamente hasta la playa más cercana llamada El Pozo. El Pozo tiene un Arrecife de corales y un criadero de erizos que se ven por todas partes. De igual manera se disfruta de un manantial de agua dulce donde se crían camarones. Lo más curioso es que ese pequeño espacio lo mantiene un señor de 75 años. Admirable su energía y vitalidad. ¿Que si vale la pena ir a Mochima? Claro que sí. Bienvenidos todos.
