Hello fellow travelers, happy day! I hope you are feeling well and having a great weekend. As for me, I'm feeling pretty good, happy to bring you the third part of my adventure through the Chocolate Museum.

As I mentioned in previous posts, this museum could be divided into three parts, that is, souvenir store, restaurant and museum where they tell us a little about the history of cocoa from its origins in ancient civilizations to become the gastronomic treasure we know today.

In order to enter you first go through the souvenir store and your entrance ticket is the purchase ticket in the store or the bill of what you have consumed in the restaurant. You are asked to scan a QR code that will show you the map of the whole place, which will serve as a guide; something that I liked and I found modern is that in each showcase there was a QR code that when you scanned it gave you the information of each exhibition, so you did not see a lot of posters around the place.

Each exhibition tells you about the artisanal process of making chocolate, traditional techniques that have endured throughout history and generation after generation. Also, they tell us about the traditions or celebrations that usually have chocolate as Easter, where the chocolate eggs have a very careful process starting with the choice of the ingredients to be of very good quality.

Also, we are told that chocolate a la taza was a very popular drink among the ancient Maya. The utensils for drinking this beverage could be made of materials such as stone, pottery or carved wood, and were often decorated with symbolic and religious motifs, the simple act of drinking chocolate was considered sacred.

Cocoa is of jungle origin, in fact, it is found in the Amazon basin and it is said that the Mayas and Aztecs were the pioneers in domesticating the cultivation of cocoa, in fact, they even used it as currency and as an offering to their gods.

Later we entered a kind of audiovisual dark room where we could admire different iconic representations of Mexican indigenous art, among them, ''La metatera'' which means ''The Aztec woman grinding corn in metate'', this representation captures the daily life and agricultural activities of the ancient Mesoamerican civilizations, in particular, the Aztec people.

Also, there were figures such as the goddess of cocoa, the Olmec god of cocoa, the relationship of monkeys and cocoa, the cocoa plant, among others.

We were able to observe the representation of the Aztec calendar, also known as ''Stone of the sun'' which in fact I found super curious because of the many carvings it had, it is said that it was an important implement in that civilization to help improve the accuracy of the harvest times, and those in which rituals were performed to honor all the gods of their culture.

The last photo is the representation of the Temple of Quetzalcoatl in Teotihuacan, Mexico.

We also have a Casa del Chocolate in Havana, a house museum.
They are generally very interesting places because they show the history of cocoa and the elaboration of drinks and sweets through the cultures. The pots also stand out a lot, as well as the utensils and machines dedicated to the process.
Great! Nice post.
