My trip to Tinago Waterfalls

in Pinmapple3 years ago (edited)

Hello Everyone,

Have you been to Tinago Waterfalls? If not, then join me as I will share my experience with this beautiful place last January 2020.

I love to travel and visit waterfalls and this is one of the waterfalls that I visited that I would like to recommend.

Tinago Falls is a waterfall that can be found between the town of Linamon and Iligan City, Lanao Del Norte, Philippines. There are many ways to get there, but it will depend on your starting point.

At that time, I started in Butuan City, which is 261.2 km from Iligan City.I had to travel by bus for more than 6 hours to reach Cagayan De Oro City and from there another 1-2 hours to reach Iligan City.

It was a tiring travel so I decided to look for a hotel to rest and planned to go to the site the next morning. On the next day, I rented a motorcycle and finally reached the entrance. I thought that there's gonna be an entrance fee, but there's none. But they have a donation box where you can put any amount and it will go to the people who manage to maintain the cleanliness of the area.

The fall is being hidden in a deep ravine. Trekking the falls requires approximately 435 descending steps called the winding staircase. But it was worth descending, because the moment I arrived at the bottom of the staircase I immediately fell in love with the view, the moment I laid my eyes on the waterfalls.

There is a small lake to swim with the waterfalls in the front. You can ride a bamboo boat directly into the waterfalls and climb the rocks to jump from inside the waterfalls to the lake. Around the lake you can find small shops with beverages and snacks. After diving into the water, I really feel so refreshed and energized. Unlike swimming pools where water is treated, but here you can really feel its nature's gift. The water was refreshing and the lush green environment sums it up to make it a paradise. And I can't help myself from daydreaming about being here again.
