Today I am going to share with you some pictures of my beautiful city, it is true that there are many historical sites that we have to remember, because in them all the essence of this small but beautiful city are.
A series of events and dates full of stories, which undoubtedly are calling the attention of all tourists who visit the streets of the famous historic center, while enjoying a beautiful view that gives us our father river known as The Majestic Orinoco River.
That's right, I'm talking about the beautiful Ciudad Bolivar, Bolivar State, Venezuela. It is one of the metropolises of the territory that encompasses more history in its streets, squares and museums. Angostura has been named in 1818, by Simon Bolivar, provisional capital of the republic and it is there where the liberator gave the famous "Speech of Angostura", on February 15, 1819, in which he renounced the absolute powers that had been granted to him and gave his perspective on how the new republic that began.
One of the most interesting sites of this city, is the historic center with the Plaza Bolivar where it is, in addition to the housing of the Congress of Angostura, the Cathedral with its Ochre color, the Piar House, the parish house and the housing of the governors of the colony.
The cathedral of Localidad Bolivar, is also in the Bolivar square, in the historical situation of the most important locality. It is of colonial style and is dedicated to Nuestra Señora de las Nieves.
One of the most interesting visits in Ciudad Bolivar is to the San Isidro house, a property of the Cornieles family, which was frequented by the Liberator Simon Bolivar and where he prepared the Angostura Speech.
In the Orinoco route there is a viewpoint from where you can have a nice view of the water flow, the Angostura Bridge and its islands.
The Angostura Bridge is one of the most beautiful bridges in Venezuela. Until November 2006, when the Orinoquia Bridge in Puerto Ordaz was completed, it has been the exclusive bridge over this part of the Orinoco.
To close our eyes and think of Urbe Bolivar takes us to fishing, to dulce de merey, to good people, to stories among its rocky alleys, to moments that marked the path of Venezuelan freedom.
The rock : As its rather unoriginal name suggests, it is a rock in the middle of the Orinoco. Once the water flow grows and covers this rock, the locals say that the metropolis will be flooded; you will then have the possibility of seeing piranhas and caimans in the streets instead of flies and cockroaches.
Once you walk along the Orinoco route, the narrowest part of the "Rio Padre", you will see the grayish rock formation known as Roca del Medio, located in the middle of the Orinoco between Soledad and Urbe Bolivar.
This rock has been and is the sign that identifies the metropolis. The known length of the rock is 350X100m wide, with an elevation of 52m from the minimum degree of low water.
Quite a lot of people comment that that of measuring the water is not true although each flood leaves mark in the rock.
- I hope everyone had an Excellent day!!!! Greetings <3
