The area where I live in Valencia (Venezuela) is adjacent to a mountain in the "Parque Municipal Filas de la Guacamaya", and there are several places of tourist interest. The following photographs were taken from the roof of my house and in them I indicate three places that I will show: the "cruz grande", the cave and the "tres cruces". I add that in the same order I did the walking tour to capture the photographs.
El sector donde vivo en Valencia (Venezuela) colinda con una montaña del "Parque Municipal Filas de la Guacamaya", y allí se encuentran diversos lugares de interés turístico. Las siguientes fotografías las capturé desde el techo de mi casa y en ellas indico tres lugares que mostraré: la "cruz grande", la cueva y las "tres cruces". Agrego que en ese mismo orden hice el recorrido caminando para capturar las fotografías.
The "cruz grande" is a monument that was built in 1913 and unfortunately collapsed a little over a year ago, in July 2020; it was standing for 103 years.
La "cruz grande" es un monumento que fue construido en 1913 y lamentablemente colapsó hace poco más de un año, en julio de 2020; estuvo en pie 103 años.
Next I am going to show pictures to appreciate what you can see behind the mountain and turning to the left, counterclockwise, until you see Valencia.
A continuación voy a mostrar fotografías para apreciar lo que se ve detrás de la montaña y girando hacia la izquierda, en sentido contrario a las agujas del reloj, hasta ver a Valencia.
In the following photograph, between the clouds and the city, you can see a long and narrow strip of blue-gray color from left to right, which corresponds to “Lago de Valencia” (Lake Valencia); east of the city.
En la siguiente fotografía, entre las nubes y la ciudad, se puede ver una franja larga y estrecha, de un color gris azulado de izquierda a derecha, que corresponde al Lago de Valencia; al este de la ciudad.
The photograph below is one of the two entrances to the cave, going down there is a bit difficult and going up as well.
La fotografía a continuación es una de las dos entradas a la cueva, bajar por ahí es un poco difícil y subir también.
On this occasion, I continued walking above the cave to show two crevices through which light enters the cave, one a hole type and the other an elongated slit type. The tiny elongated white dots contrasting with the black in the last crevice are insects coming out of the cave.
En esta ocasión, seguí caminando por arriba de la cueva para mostrar dos grietas por las que entra luz a la cueva, una tipo agujero y la otra tipo hendidura alargada. Los diminutos puntos blancos alargados que contrastan con el negro en la última grieta son insectos saliendo de la cueva.
When climbing that mountain it is common to find holes in the rocks mainly due to water erosion, although the next one caught my attention because it is in a vertical stone wall and it is noticeable that the water has eroded its interior.
Al subir a esa montaña es común encontrarse con agujeros en las piedras producto de la erosión del agua principalmente, aunque el siguiente llamó mi atención porque se encuentra en una pared vertical de piedra y es notable que el agua ha erosionado su interior.
This is the other entrance to the cave, which is much wider, and going down or up is easier.
Esta es la otra entrada de la cueva, la cual es mucho más amplia, y el bajar o subir es más fácil.

Así se ve la entrada de la cueva desde su interior.
The next photograph is in reverse direction to the entrance of the cave and corresponds to a narrow passageway that leads to a room, then to another smaller room and if you continue walking you will find the exit (the other entrance I mentioned).
La siguiente fotografía es en sentido inverso a la entrada de la cueva y corresponde a un pasadizo estrecho que conduce a una sala, luego a otra sala más pequeña y si se sigue caminado se encuentra la salida (la otra entrada que mencioné).
The usual inhabitants of the cave are vampires although it is also inhabited by spiders that are very agile and have adapted to living in caves; although I have seen them, on this occasion I did not see any.
Los habitantes habituales de la cueva son los vampiros aunque también la habitan arañas que son muy ágiles y que se han adaptado a vivir en cuevas; aunque las he visto, en esta ocasión no vi ninguna.

The following photograph is part of the trail that you walk from the cave to the "tres cruces".
La siguiente foto es parte del sendero que se camina desde la cueva hasta las "tres cruces".
The "tres cruces" is a monument that was once restored because one of its crosses was broken. It has compartments to place candles. Traditionally a religious route known as "El Calvario" (The Calvary) was carried out during Holy Week.
Las "tres cruces" es un monumento que en alguna ocasión fue restaurado por romperse una de sus cruces. Posee compartimientos para colocar velas. Tradicionalmente se realizaba en Semana Santa un recorrido religioso conocido como El Calvario.
If you go down a bit behind the monument you can see a mountainous environment. Next I am going to show photographs to appreciate what you can see behind the mountain and turning to the right, clockwise, until you see Valencia.
Si se baja un poco detrás del monumento se puede apreciar un entorno montañoso. A continuación voy a mostrar fotografías para apreciar lo que se ve detrás de la montaña y girando hacia la derecha, en sentido a las agujas del reloj, hasta ver a Valencia.
From this photograph I had to return to the monument to continue with the captures. From this monument you can see the best view from the north of Valencia, passing through the east, to the south.
A partir de esta fotografía tuve que regresar al monumento para continuar con las capturas. Desde este monumento se aprecia la mejor vista desde el norte de Valencia, pasando por el este, hasta el sur.

La cueva se ve asombrosa, en serio, quién diría que tenemos cosas tan fascinantes en nuestra ciudad, es tal y como la imaginé, ya mismo me voy a revisar el otro post que mencionaste.
