2020 ended, it was an atypical year, but I could not allow to finish this year without going to bathe on the beach, so on Tuesday, December 29, we went to the beach, the beaches of Montevideo are usually brown because they join the river de la plata, therefore the more you travel east, the more possible it is to find blue or green beaches.
El 2020 termino, fue un año atípico, pero yo no podía permitir terminar este año sin ir a bañarme en la playa, así que el Martes 29 de diciembre fuimos a la playa, las playas de Montevideo suelen ser marrones porque se juntan con el rio de la plata, por ende mientras mas viajes al este, mas posible es encontrar playas las azules o verdes.
Actually I had already gone to a beach, but I could not bathe because there were jellyfish, this was the first time that I bathed and enjoyed a beach well in Uruguay, the beach had very little waves, it was also very low, that is, I walked about 15 meters into the sea and the water kept coming up to my knees.
The beach is located on the entire boardwalk in the Malvin neighborhood, a very nice place with streets full of bushes and relatively new houses or buildings.
En realidad ya había ido a una playa, pero no pude bañarme porque habían medusas, esta fue la primera vez que me bañe y disfrute bien de una playa en Uruguay, la playa era con muy poco oleaje, también era muy bajita, es decir camine como 15 metros adentro del mar y el agua seguía llegándome a las rodillas.
La playa se encuentra en toda la rambla en el barrio de Malvin, un lugar muy lindo con calles llenas de arbustos y casas o edificios relativamente nuevos.
In front of the beach there is an islet called "Isla de las Gaviotas", an important nesting point or natural habitat of several species of seagulls, as well as a place for some species of passage, said island is classified as an ecological reserve and protected area for its more than 25 animal species and marine fauna, for this reason we could not visit it but without a doubt it looks beautiful, breaking the environment with its striking palm trees.
Al frente de la playa se encuentra un islote llamado "Isla de las gaviotas", un importante punto de nidos o hábitat natural de varias especies de gaviotas, además un lugar para algunas especies de paso, dicha isla esta catalogada como reserva ecológica y área protegida por sus mas de 25 especies animales y la fauna marina, por este motivo no pudimos visitarla pero sin duda alguna se ve hermosa, rompiendo el ambiente con sus llamativas palmeras.
It is important to take care of the sun when you go to a beach in Uruguay, the thinning of the ozone layer increases the uv index, also there is no such thing as in Venezuela, people who rent umbrellas or chairs, or a palm tree in which to receive a little of shade, so it is best to leave well prepared to avoid sunstroke.
Now in summer the sun rises at 5.30 in the morning and sets at 8 at night, so, notice that most people go to the beach at 4 in the afternoon, in order to enjoy the beach until sunset.
Es importante cuidarse del sol cuando vas a una playa en Uruguay, el adelgazamiento de la capa de ozono hace mayor el índice uv, además no existe como en Venezuela, gente que alquile sombrillas o sillas, o alguna palmera en la cual recibir un poco de sombra, así que lo mejor es irse bien preparado para evitar una insolación.
Ahora en verano el sol sale a las 5.30 de la mañana y se oculta a las 8 de la noche, por lo cual, note que la mayoría de las personas va a la playa a las 4 de la tarde, para así poder disfrutar de la playa hasta el atardecer.

Antes de regresarnos, llamamos a nuestro amigo Orlando y lo invitamos a pasar un rato con nosotros, la pasamos muy bien, también fue el momento perfecto de estrenar la cava que unos días antes me habían regalado en la empresa por navidad.
El agua al primer contacto se siente fría, pero luego que estas dentro, te aclimatas super rápido, lo bueno es que con poco oleaje puedes disfrutar tranquilamente de la playa, hay salvavidas atentos a cualquier imprevisto, y también hay agentes sanitarios, monitoreando que la gente mantenga el distanciamiento y que ningún grupo tenga mas de 10 personas.
