Hello everyone in the Pinmapple community! Today I come again to share with you what my visit to Freemont was like, in Las Vegas, Nevada. I had passed by there at another time but I didn't stop too long to appreciate it with time and care. This time, during a family outing with my sister, we decided to walk on Sunday to explore the entire area and get to know it properly. So this space begins here. Accompany me.
The Freemont is a pedestrian avenue that covers around five blocks of street and that owes its fame thanks to its historical legacy (open since 1905) since it was the first paved avenue in the city and also because in its surroundings there were the first hotels/casinos in the country. In 1931, the first licenses for the game were obtained. The latter (the game) was part of the tourist attraction but so was its signs with neon lights, which is why many filmmakers liked this eccentric setting. Recording scenes from movies and music videos. Later, the city moved and only what is now called "The Freemont Experience" or "Freemont Street Experience" remained of Freemont. This is what we can see now in the photographs, hotel facades, two stages for concerts and traveling artists.
¡Hola a todos en la comunidad de Pinmapple! Hoy vengo nuevamente para compartir con ustedes lo que fue mí visita a la Freemont, en Las Vegas, Nevada. Había pasado por allí en otro momento pero no me detuve demasiado cómo para apreciarlo con tiempo y esmero. Esta vez, durante una salida familiar con mí hermana, decidimos caminar el día domingo para recorrer toda la zona y así conocerla cómo se debe. Así que aquí comienza este espacio. Acompáñame.
La Freemont es una avenida peatonal que abarca alrededor de cinco cuadras de calle y que debe su fama gracias a su legado histórico (abierta desde el año 1905) ya que fue la primera avenida pavimentada de la ciudad y también porque a sus alrededores se encontraban los primeros hoteles/casinos del país. En 1931, se consiguieron las primeras licencias para el juego. Este último (el juego) era parte del atractivo turístico pero también lo era sus carteles con luces neón, por lo que muchos cineastas gustaban de este excentrico escenario. Grabándose escenas de películas y vídeos musicales. Más adelante, la ciudad se movió y de la Freemont solo quedó lo que se llama en la actualidad "La Experiencia Freemont" o "Freemont Street Experience". Es lo que podemos ver ahora en las fotografías, fachadas de los hoteles, dos escenarios para conciertos y artistas ambulantes.
The Freemont is located in Downtown (which is why I previously mentioned about the new center) so when referring to one, the other is named. Although clearly the old city is a little more than just that pedestrian avenue. If you go a little further east, we will find an open museum where we can see some of the neon signs that were used before. Now, as soon as you start the Freemont Street Experience we will also find the "Viva Visión", a large LED light screen that runs through the more than four blocks of the place. Thousands of images are transmitted there throughout the day accompanied by sound sources (and depending on the occasion, a special event - a concert, for example -). We will also find the Zip Line (the SlotZilla), bars, casinos, souvenir shops, traveling artists and depending on the day and time, free concerts.
Finally, my friends, I found it very interesting to go through this place because it feels like an eternal party. On the one hand I like the whole aesthetic, it is something really very striking and you can also find very interesting people. Like the artist (the statue) with whom we took a photo. Not only that but you are going to have a lot of fun with all the crazy things that can happen there; people dancing alone, people singing, birthday celebration, etc. Although I am not a gambler, nor do I like excess, I think Las Vegas can be captivating. La Freemont se ubica en la Downtown (por lo que anteriormente mencioné sobre el nuevo centro) por lo que al referirse a una se nombra a la otra. Aunque claramente la vieja ciudad es un poco más que solo esa avenida peatonal. Si bajas un poco más al este, encontraremos un museo abierto donde podremos observar algunos de los carteles de luces de neón que solían usarse antes. Ahora, en cuanto comienzas la Freemont Street Experience encontraremos también la "Viva Visión" una gran pantalla de luces led que recorre las más de cuatro cuadras del lugar. Allí se transmiten miles de imágenes durante todo el día acompañada de fuentes de sonido (y dependiendo de la ocasión algún evento especial -un concierto, por ejemplo-). También encontraremos la Tirolesa (el SlotZilla), bares, casinos, tiendas de souvenirs, artistas ambulantes y dependiendo del día y la hora, conciertos gratuitos.
Finalmente amigos míos, me pareció muy interesante pasar por este lugar pues se siente cómo una fiesta eterna. Por un lado me agrada toda la estética, es algo de verdad muy llamativo y que además puedes encontrar personas muy interesantes. Cómo el artista (la estatua) con quién nos tomamos una fotografía. No solo eso sino que te vas a divertir mucho con todas las locuras que allí pueden suceder; gente bailando sola, gente cantando, celebración de cumpleaños, etc. Aunque no soy jugadora (gambling), ni me gustan los excesos, creo que Las Vegas puede llegar a ser atrapante.
