Thurso is part of the land I am most intrigued to visit. The very tipity top of the Scotty dogs head. I like to imagine unicorns ,gryphons, giants ,white walkers and other mystical creatures still roam the lands that far north :).

Yes, they are all there - thats why I left. The unicorns taste OK, but the others dont.
The whole north coast is pretty, although a lot of it is remote/secluded, particularly out west - but I'd recommend the NC500 route to anyone - you would not be disappointed. Lots to do, and the scenery is non-stop fantastic.
