Taman Festival: The Most Haunted Place In Bali

in Pinmapple2 years ago (edited)

Bali's weather is still on moody's mode. But this is not an obstacle for us to go to visit beautiful places in Bali. Last week I did a photoshoot at an abandoned place that known as the most haunted place in Bali. When I went in for the first step, the place already give me chills. The place is called Taman Festival and located in Sanur. We still need to pay to enter the place. 2000 rupiah for bike and 20.000 rupiah/person. The place was built back in 1990's and cost alot of money. The rumors says why it is abandoned now because they ran out of money and just leave it like that. What a waste and sad story. The place is actually really beautiful.

This is the main entrance. Feel the chills yet? It chilled me for sure. We can hardly imagine how this place looked like when it was built. Now it is the home of a zillion miskotos, and maybe some lizards.

A mini fountain with a touch of Balinese's statue. The hindu culture is visible everywhere in Bali. In case you didn't know, it is the only hindu island in indonesia. Much of the streetart shows some of the typical hindu art or is influenced by it... " "3E30D978-5F3C-42E9-AE76-ECEE1181FBE2.JPEG""

This is my fav spot. It's giving a Jurassic Park vibe. This must have been the main hall. It is huge probably 30 meters high or something. Have no clue what was intended to be in here...

The coolest graffiti here Imma say. Reminds me of the banksy style, but it is not a banksy for sure. Whatever it is a strong statement with that gas mask... " "7518D1A7-9B3A-4E4D-88D8-01536B9D7FF5.JPEG""

Locals says this place used to be a home for crocos. Yes I repeat c-r-o-c-o-d-i-l-e-s. Glad we didnt see them when we was there. Some locals even fed them crocos back then. They says they are all gone but there's a storng rumor that some of the crocos still there. Hell naw. It is not only a home for those bugs and crocos but ghosts too. It is abandoned since 90's, I mean what do you expect?

Here is a pict when I was in the middle of photoshoot. This is at one of the most interesting parts of the theme park. There is a huuge oly tree here, and this building looks just like out of an Indiana Jones movie. kinda weird and beautiful at the same time. Only some monkeys are missing. " "IMG-7865.jpg""

You can see that a lot so sprayers are leaving their streetart here. Pretty amazing, and also funny stuff here... This cat reminds me of Ronnie from the Crypto Squad. Awesome " "IMG-7802.JPG""

The place is actually quite big. Some buildings has a roof some arent. No electricity at all. I mean it is abandoned place duhh! Mosquitos, bugs, ants everywhere. You gotta make sure to bring a bugs spray if you come to this place otherwise they gonna bite and suck your blood.

First time ever visited abandoned place even did a shoot there. What an experience. Here is a bonus pic from the photoshoot of me and my friend, hes a musician btw, Tommy Multiverse Lol.

Time for Chacha's rating!

Chacha rating:

A. Atmosphere: 9/10 Place is cool for a photoshoot. There is this "Holy tree" in the middle of the spot thatbis acfually make it more spookier.

B. Romance 1/10 For visit only Imma say yes you could... but maybe for take some shots for your date but for the first date, hell naw. Could be a nighmare for your date I guess.

C. Shut up and take my money 5/10 There are only some warungs for indo's food and some snacks. No handicraft store like other places.

D. Location 7/10 For Canggu and Seminyak based, it is actually not really far. Only take 30mins I guess if there is no traffic. The location is really close to the beach as if it actually built in front of the beach. You can go after you checking Taman Festival and chill for sunset. It took only 2 minutes even less.

E. Chacha feed 5/10 Well, I just bought a mineral water at warung so nothing really special about it.
