I hope you all are doing well. Having a break from academics and school, even for just a moment, is every student’s dream. Luckily, I got that chance. My family and I decided to take a quick vacation to Sipalay City, and honestly, it was exactly what my tired mind needed.
It was early in the morning when everyone started getting ready. The excitement was obvious — who wouldn’t be thrilled when the destination promises another picture-perfect mix of mountains and crystal-clear waters? We rode a tricycle going to a newly discovered beach spot that people couldn’t stop talking about. Even before we arrived, we already heard gossips that the place was stunning, so of course, we had to see it for ourselves.
And wow — they were right.

The moment we stepped foot in the resort, it felt like paradise. As someone who loves both the beach and the mountains, I felt instantly at home. The entrance fee was surprisingly inexpensive, the place was spotless, and we later learned it was owned by a foreigner who clearly takes good care of it. We picked a big cottage good for 10 people — perfect for our whole family. As usual, my dad covered all the expenses (thank you, Papa! 😆).

Since I’m the eldest and definitely the foodie of the family, I immediately checked their menu because everyone was starving — and let’s be honest, food is life. The prices were a bit on the expensive side, but when the food arrived (personally delivered by the chef!), every bite proved it was worth it. Soooo good.
After that satisfying feast, the picture-taking session began — of course. How could we not capture every corner of such a beautiful place? My cousin and I started posing everywhere. Girls will always be girls, right? We took photos with the whole family, with my sister, and even with our little baby sister. It was one of those rare moments where everyone was simply happy, relaxed, and present.

Later on, we decided to challenge ourselves and climb to the highest peak of the mountain — yes, an actual mountain inside the beach resort. The stairs were steep, narrow, and honestly a bit scary, but the thrill made it even more exciting. I went up with my lola, my cousin, and my sister. The others didn’t dare to climb, so it was just the four of us adventurers. 😆

They said it was around 300 steps, and I felt every single one of them. My legs were shaking, my breathing was loud, and I kept asking myself why I even agreed to climb. But here's the catch — once you reach the top, you’re rewarded with a 360-degree view of stunning Sipalay City. And that moment… I swear, it took my breath away. I was actually on the verge of crying because it was just that beautiful. Like, “I can’t believe this is real life” kind of beautiful.

Of course, we took pictures — a lot of them. We spent time just standing there, staring at the view, talking a bit, and just breathing. It felt like, for a moment, all my problems were gone. Even when the weather switched between sunny and rainy, everything still looked magical. Every angle was worth looking at.

After our mini meditation on top of the mountain, we finally headed back down (which was also a challenge 😂) and went straight to swim at the front beach. And yes, more pictures were taken — because why not? Everyone was having fun, especially my brother, whom we buried in the sand like a mermaid.
Then it started raining, and I don’t know why, but swimming in the ocean while it’s raining hits differently. It felt refreshing, comforting, and oddly peaceful.

When we finally had enough fun, we went back to our cottage, changed into dry clothes, packed up, and prepared to go home — tired but incredibly happy.
Sipalay truly gave us a day to remember.💚💙
