EN-PT Destination: Mendoza AR: Puerto Iguazu

in Worldmappin4 months ago

Welcome, fellow Hivers! It is with great pleasure that I am on vacation from work, and from Hive too.

But a real vacation requires a minimum of effort to record the moments that will last forever.

So this is the first in a series of posts entitled Destination Mendoza where I will be traveling through Argentina for the second time.

Day 1 - August 14

On this day we traveled from my hometown in Brazil to the airport in Puerto Iguazu, which is the closest Argentine city with flights to the capital Buenos Aires

A very pleasant part of this journey was that the tolls on the highways in the state of Paraná are deactivated, and we paid nothing to get to our destination.

Duty Free: tax free

We visited some stores with the DutyFree concept, where there would be no tax charges. We did not believe in this concept and ended up not buying anything.

We continued on and the registration at the Argentine Customs immigration was chaotic and even though it was a day in the middle of the week, we spent almost two hours in line.

Our accommodation was chosen for its cost-benefit ratio, and we were surprised by the clean room and a hearty breakfast, which easily surpassed many hotels I have stayed at for work in Brazil. We had two double rooms for only USD $22.

We returned to the city center where we ate with the tourists, who ended up raising the price and making the food gourmet. Empanadas, picadas, beer and juice.

We tried to buy a cell phone chip but were unable to. We discovered that they sell two different models, one of them specifically for foreigners. That must be why they don't ask for documents to register the line...

We gave up and, due to exhaustion, went to the hotel to sleep and get ready for the flight that would leave first thing in the morning.

Summary of the day:

  • We woke up in Paraná, BR
  • We slept in Puerto Iguazu, AR
  • Tours: DuttyFree Foz do Iguaçú

Resumo do dia:

  • Acordamos em Paraná, BR
  • Dormimos em Puerto Iguazu, AR
  • Passeios: DuttyFree Foz do Iguaçú

As I understand it, it is difficult to plan trips to Argentina now, because while you are getting from point A to point B, inflation can change a lot :) !MEME

You're absolutely right!
Yesterday, purchases were one price, today they are another. Not only can inflation change prices at any time, but the fluctuation of the dollar exchange rate can too!

Credit card purchases are always a surprise for foreigners!

!BBH

Personally, I don't like Argentina for only one reason, it's hard to buy herring and mackerel there lol :) !BEER

@barski! @crazyphantombr likes your content! so I just sent 1 BBH to your account on behalf of @crazyphantombr. (1/5)
