SEVEN SEAS WATERPARK AND RESORT – Misamis Oriental, Cagayan de Oro, Philippines

in Pinmapple2 years ago

AHOY MATES and HELLO HIVERS! This time, be summer ready with this splash adventure spot we're about to share. We'll take you to Seven Seas Waterpark and Resort in Northern Mindanao, a one-of-a-kind escape adventure park. We searched the internet for a nice destination to go after receiving a wedding invitation in Iligan City. Then we came across this place and were just blown away, so we decided to go there as soon as we were free around the wedding week. We decided to try it for ourselves after viewing photographs and reviews on the internet. This is our first pre-pandemic waterpark adventure.

The Resort claims to be the first world class pirate themed resort in the Philippines. Since the opening last November 2017, it features several thrilling slides, a twin wave pool, a long lazy river, and many more family-friendly activities and services.

ABOUT THE WATER PARK

This park is open Monday through Sunday from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. The cost of your trip changes varying on the day, with weekday rates each time being lower. The ticket can be purchased on the spot. Everyone who pays the admission fee has access to all of the amenities, regardless of whether they use them all.

FIRST WATERPARK ADVENTURE EXPERIENCE

Just looking at the slides on the internet makes me want to puke, but I'm excited for this new experience, particularly the plank drop slide. We were staying in Iligan City, so my family and I leased a van to take us to the Waterpark. We were blown away by the location when we arrived. The ticket includes a table, a complementary drink, and a wristband at the entrance.

We are astounded by how they came up with the concept upon entering. With its destroyed boat in the center of its large pool, a pirate themed waterpark seemed a great fit. We then went to grab the drink and began organizing our first activity.

Of course, we started with the easier ones to get our minds and bodies ready. Though it is still up to the individual whether they find it easy or not, there are lower slides that are less inclined. By the way, inside the waterpark, there are various maps located on sides to serve as a guide where to head to since the waterpark covers a large area,

The Mighty Maui River, the Philippines' lengthiest sluggish river, was our first stop. Utilizing their wave generator, the Maui River runs like a natural river, and visitors using inflatables simply move with the flow, not worrying about the inflatable running. As a result, it was given the name "lazy river." You will pass over islets, overpasses, and a trench along the voyage.

We arrive at our first slide, the Riptide Reef, after going around the river. This slide features a distinct two-hole pump-up raft that lets two people to slide at the same time. The slide has a reverse direction, giving the impression that you are riding two slides at once. It isn't extreme, yet it can still lift your stomach.

Then we moved on to the next slide, the Pira-Chute Spiral Slide. This is a one-person slide with at least double rotations before touchdown. This slide is enjoyable since it is a slow-moving slide that takes some time to complete. However, we were not able to take pictures during the activity because it was not allowable for safety reasons.

The Pacific Racer is the next shot. It's a three-tube quick contest slide where racers launch from a height of 50 feet into tight curved tubes that lead to a rapid exit 330 feet distant, utilizing special rubber mats.

There are numerous attractions to select from in this park. Because the park is spread out, bathrooms, washrooms, and eateries are all easily accessible. Even if you are unable to participate in the slides, you can appreciate the resort because its amenities are not limited to exciting sports. They also feature relaxing pastimes and picture worthy view.

The Buccaneer Bay Dual Wave Pool, one of the Philippines' largest, offers everyone a separate part with waves ranging from 0.50 to 1.0 meter height, as well as a unconnected venue with more strong tsunami waves ranging from 1 to 1.5 meter height, which can be set for would-be surfers learning the basics.

The "Pirates of the Caribbean"Aaqua Playhouse, as well as Captain Kidd's Hideout kiddie pool and slides, are designed for children and adults who wish to enjoy safe, sanitary fun in a shallow rubber-covered pool.

The Plank Drop is for you if you want something extreme. Riders are discharged from a clear capsule-like tube at a height of about 65 feet on the "Plank Drop," the country's first upright aqua twist water slide. This ride is difficult for the faint of heart, but the semi-lucid fiberglass pipe gives ultimate thrill for riders and audiences.

The Cyclone is the barkada's goal slide. It's the biggest water slide I’ve seen! It's a 20-meter-wide narrowed steel and fiberglass construction that can carry a four person raft dropped from a six-story takeoff tube. Riders face near straight up rotations and blows when the raft sways on the cone walls.

This Treasure Island location is great for taking pictures and just walking around and taking in the atmosphere. You can make Moby Dick as your background!

They also have a life-sized statue that appears to be real. They're taller than I expected.

Before traveling to the park, there are a few things to keep in mind. Please read the waterpark's rules for safety precautions, especially if you plan on going sliding. Before you slide, they have appropriate posture and some do's and don'ts.

It's the best water adventure spot I've ever visited. Cebu now has its very own Water Park in Mandaue called the Waterworld.
