Between the green slopes of the mountains and white clouds, the city of Kayaköy sleeps, which with its mysticism impresses everyone who visits it, and even just passes by. This place is always surrounded by a mystical fog, making its image even more mysterious and attractive.

Once upon a time, it was a living city where residents lived in harmony. However, history decided to change this fact. Alienation began during the First World War, and then the Greco-Turkish population exchange in 1923 left Kayaköy empty, like a ghost town. A village, perhaps even a small town, that was once the friendly heart of a community has become a place of abandoned houses full of history and mystery. It seems that a few weeks ago the city was simply deserted.

No, I'm actually joking. The city is not in the best condition, there are no longer such white and whole walls as they once were, or triangular roofs. But if we consider that 100 years have passed since those times, then the city has been perfectly preserved. Almost all houses still have their main parts. But the most important thing in this city is mysticism. So, let's get back to the story about the city!

When you walk among the streets of Kayaköy, you can feel this mystical aura, as if right now, the ghost of a person who lived here can appear. I say this because there is another version of why the city became empty. They say that in the distant past, an earthquake occurred in this city. And all the people who lived here died. But everyone says that the first version is more true. Ruined houses and empty yards are created, every meter is filled here. Standing among the ruins, I thought thoughtfully about the stories of those who once lived here.

The ancient walls are like painter's tapestry, which have shades from orange to green. Time colors every metal tool, adds and adds its own narrative to this abandoned city, filling the space with shades of history. Moss, like a soft covering, creates the impression that nature is gradually regaining its position. Everything slowly becomes not a city, but a mysterious jungle. Greenery brings freshness to this city. Between the thickets of moss, you can see the ruins of buildings that were once the center of life. This mixture of rust, moss and greenery makes the city unusual in its kind. Every single detail reflects the beauty of all changes and interaction of the non-living with the living.

Empty houses have preserved their unfading beauty. The walls, covered from head to toe with moss, are full of signs of time. The sun's rays penetrate through the broken roofs and fog, creating an even more mystical atmosphere of light and shadow, which adds to the mystery of the area.

I am especially fascinated by the mystical fog that hangs here every day, from morning to night, between the forgotten buildings. It seems to me that only he knows the whole story, the unraveling of which remains a mystery. He easily makes this city look like, not reality, but myths from fairy tales.

If you are looking for a place where history and myth collide, where beauty mixes with mysticism, and greenery where every corner carries its own story, then you need to go to the ghost town of Kayaköy. Here, even nature becomes an accomplice of secrets, and helps preserve the spirit of ancient times. Memories of Kayaköy will remain unforgettable, you will remember this place constantly when it comes to mysticism. And its mysticism will continue to weave secrets in the hearts of those who visited it.
Also there was really cute sheeps in the ghost-town 🐏🐑 You can watch the video if you want.

Even if it's considered a ghost city from history, still I find art in its structure.
Yeah, it's like an art. I am fascinated by it's beauty 🥰
@olga.maslievich your daughter is what, 12/13 years old? English isn't her native language, plus I believe she's not been in school since you unfortunately had to leave Ukraine. Are you writing all these posts for her because the content is way too mature and refined for a non native English young teenager.
Excuse me? I am writing all this by myself, sometimes my mom doesn't even know about what am I writing. You think if I am 13 years old, then I can't write nice posts? I use app Translate, to make my posts English, if you don't know it exist. And also, I am writing posts from a very young age. Of you're jealous, because my posts are nice, just say it.
You're very cocky for a 13 year old young lady
Hi @livinguktaiwan. With all respect to you, I have to admit that you are completely unfair to my daughter @darine.darine.
You stated that my 13 year old daughter can't write such high quality posts just because she's only 13 ???
I declare to the entire hive community: my daughter has been posting on the hive blockchain since 2020 when she turned 10 years old. She speaks English much better than I do. All photos and text are her original property!
I will report your unfair baseless accusations of hive support!
You mean it's her original property when she uses GPT Chat?
why do you go back in past? she used one time, but she apologized, and no longer uses it. But generally, she creates her articles completely independently, but you slandered her without reason.

I'm really crazy to visit such places (I know where houses are deserted there is a strong reason for the decision to leave your home), even if it is a little dangerous to risk exploring the area.
Yeah, this place gives me goosebumps. Maybe someday you will visit it too and see this unforgettable place ❤️
