Hello to all my followers and non-subscribers! Meet the post about the Wall of Kotor! In my last post, I wrote about the beautiful city of Kotor. There you can see a lot of curiosities and ancient buildings. And one of the main features of this city is the Kotor Wall. This wall is somewhat similar to the Chinese wall, but there are differences in it.
First, it is a wall that goes up. And that is, it cannot be considered simple. It's like a big staircase to the top of a mountain. Namely, there are 1300 or so of them. And how can we not go here! And finally, we came to the entrance and began to climb.
We thought at first that it would be free, because at the beginning there was no one. But after climbing a little higher, we did see that it is paid. A guy was sitting on the pass watching Tiktok. Since nothing prevented us from passing, he did not pay attention. But as soon as we passed, he immediately came to his senses and said that we had to pay. After paying, we finally continued on our way.
It was very hot. We climbed higher and higher. My sister @bugavi kept saying "help me" or "I'd rather stay downstairs". The 200th step was passing, and we had not even completed the first part of the way.The views were incredible even though we didn't even climb the 500th step.
The views of the mountains, the old town and the bay were incredible. Once upon a time, when there was nothing but this city, the wall was very helpful in war. Holes were carved into the wall. Probably used to shoot cannons through them. It was very exciting to watch how the height increases with steps. The 600th step passed. This is about half way.
We came to a small church. There was a large viewing platform here. This wall is simply huge. I am very impressed with her. I love seeing these little houses with orange roofs. They give the atmosphere of ancient times. It's very nice. The mountains cast a shadow over the entire city.
The sunset is very beautiful. The ships in the bay seem very small. The scale of the mountains and the enormous height are simply breathtaking. Crazy feelings of power fill me. We kept going up and up. The sun had already set behind the horizon, and it wasn't so hot. And we still took shirts because we thought it would be cold😂.
The old city lights up at night, which makes it more beautiful. Water reflects light. And here is the 900th step. Almost the end! Another 400 steps and that's it! Finally, we came to the last viewing platform. The castle is already starting. It has so many rooms! Everywhere you go is interesting. But this is only the lower castle.
By the way, @bugavi didn't go with us. She said that she would stay on the platform and wait. Well, my mother @olga.maslievich and I continue our journey! After climbing the steep steps, we saw the last floor of the lower castle - the most beautiful. The scenery here is gorgeous! If you want to see beautiful and fascinating (as you probably already guessed) come here.
Now we move on to the upper castle. He is bigger. You can enter it on a small iron bridge. Next, you can see many photo spots. And since we ran out of water a long time ago, we came here, and here you can buy water for two euros (in cash, of course). We came to the farthest square for a photo, and here we took a selfie 🤳. This is an incredible place and I highly recommend it!
