A couple Sundays ago I went to the very famous Fiera del Soco, an ancient fair with 500 years of history that takes place every year in September. It is one of the largest, if not the largest, fair in the region, with 500 stands, 150 exhibitors, and 800,000–1,000,000 visitors every year. I used to go there when I was a little kid with my grandparents and now I'm bringing my little son there.
The stands offer a wide variety of products: from local crafts to innovations in the agricultural sector, such as tractors and combine harvesters, but also commercial and industrial novelties. There are plenty of food stands, in fact, there are tons of them with products from all over Italy and beyond. There are cultural exhibitions, displays, traditional wooden games, a funfair, and shows.
Obviously, with a small child, a stop at the funfair was a must, it's also one of the biggest, with attractions for both kids and adults.
Book stands with books for 3 euros (some originally priced at €10): I bought three, that was such a bargain.
A magical sand picture that, when flipped, slowly reforms itself from the opposite side.
Car exhibition.
Horses and a teaching farm.
Tractors.
In the end, we basically stayed there all day, enjoying a nice sausage sandwich.
@erikah there is, I hope you like it 😄
Where are all the punters? It looks pretty deserted.
I avoided photograph the crowd, people don't like it a lot 😄
Haha looks fun, and animals too?
Not for sale, these ones in photos, next fair will have tons of them instead
It must be really fun there! How cool it is that they even have car exhibition!
Yep, it was very enjoyable, spent well the full Sunday!
Ohhh I wanna try this kind of adventure.
Next year come to Italy 🤣
Looks like an interesting event for all ages, with a wide range of offer. I don't know what I would have bought, but the horse would have gotten my attention for sure 🐎
Oh next month I'm attending an other one where there is a ticket draw and you can actually win a horse as best prize 😅! I'll get you a ticket 😜
😂😂😂
Very kind of you, but what am I going to do with a horse? I live on the 4th floor 😆
You could use it to go up and down the stairs! Or to kick some unpleasant neighbor of the building
There's one guy that would deserve to be kicked out.
