Largest Botanical Garden in the World: Kew Gardens

in Pinmapple2 years ago

Hello everyone! How are you today?
First of all, I would like to send my best wishes to everyone for a joyful Christmas. Hope you have a good time.

On this post, I’m going to revisit a trip we had with now my wife (at that time my girlfriend) in London, such a majestic and glorious place, Kew Gardens.

Kew Royal Gardens is spread over an area of 121 hectares in an extremely charming district of West London called Kew Gardens. What they told us that it is the largest and most diverse botanical garden in the world! One thing is definite, it is huge! And it’s easy to visit there. On the subway - London Underground, take the District Line in the direction of Richmond and all you have to do is get off at the Kew Gardens stop. When you leave the station, just turn left and follow the signs that say Kew Gardens. At the end of the road, Victoria Gate, the main entrance to Kew Gardens, greets you.

This historic garden displays many of the important horticultural arts from the 18th to the 20th centuries. Kew Gardens also house the botanical collections (conserved plants, living plants and documents) that have been significantly enriched over the centuries.
Since its founding in 1759, the gardens have made an important and uninterrupted contribution to the study of plant diversity and economic botany and have inspired similar parks in many parts of the world.

Although we have wander the garden for couple of hours, we were nowhere near finishing it! The garden gives you the vibe that everything is so majestic and magical that you lost your touch of surprise after a while, which is actually a better feeling than it sound because it happens so rare in life :)

Kew Gardens has survived to the present day with the addition of new areas over the years and has been designed to please many visitors in its current form. Plants brought from many parts of the world are spread all over the park and informative labels with their names are placed on the plants.

Kew Gardens is not one of the botanic gardens made to attract tourists like we see in some countries. If you happen to visit London, I would strongly recommend to see Kew Gardens.
