The last part of the climb to Pico do Arieiro. Towards the end of the day, the temperature dropped sharply, so the clouds followed me that part of the way. A completely different impression from passing the same section in clear weather. I'm not sure how I like it anymore 🙂

Having been to Madeira a couple of times and we love the island, we’ve not been up there yet. Trouble is I’ve no head for heights and my wife hates mountain roads. So we make a right pair!!

Aireiro can be reached by car with minimal effort. Also, there is a much shorter hike to Ruvio, only two to three kilometers. In my opinion, the most beautiful thing about Madeira is the nature, although the beaches are excellent and the food is simply perfect
