Indeed, the ramparts there is something else. I met a Canadian client once a long time ago, who said she had a house in Avignon which she considers her home. I have always wanted to travel to Provence but haven't been. It's nice to be able to see it and experience it vicariously through your post.

Provence is a really beautiful region. If you ever do anymore traveling in France I would recommend it for sure. There are so many nice small towns to visit and in one small area. Your friend is lucky to have a home there.
