Hello guys, how are you today?
I think each of us has favorite destinations that we want to return to again and again. And for me, I'm lucky to have many places like that on my list of destinations. I even put my favorite places on a seasonal list of destinations. And today I want to introduce to you a destination that even though I have been there many times, I still do not get bored of it. That is Tuyen Lam Lake - a lake that is likened to the pearl of the highlands of Vietnam.
First, let me briefly introduce this lake. This is the largest freshwater lake in the highlands of Vietnam. It has an area of about 320 hectares and is surrounded by romantic pine hills around. About 7km south of Da Lat city center, we can easily come here by car or motorbike. Currently, the route from Da Lat city center to Tuyen Lam lake has been renovated, so driving here is very easy. Besides, the road around the lake has also been paved, so driving around the lake is also very convenient. In addition, about 2km from Tuyen Lam lake is the famous Datanla tourist area, making it a destination not to be missed when coming to Da Lat.
There are many interesting activities that we can enjoy here. First of all, driving around the lake and seeing the beautiful scenery is very enjoyable. It takes hours to go all the poetic roads surrounding this large lake. Another interesting activity that you should not miss when coming here is taking a boat and duck boat ride to explore the small oases in the middle of the lake where there are romantic pine hills, flower gardens, and specialty restaurants. Especially, you can choose to stay in the villas on these oases if you want, it will be an unforgettable experience. If you don't have much time then you can spend some time at the dam area where you can breathe fresh air, enjoy the beautiful surroundings and take good pictures. This is also the busiest area in Tuyen Lam Lake, where you can find some interesting snacks sold here. I like to come to Tuyen Lam Lake in the late afternoon to watch the romantic purple sunset or come early in the morning to hunt clouds in the summer.
Regarding the attractions in Tuyen Lam Lake, in addition to the above mentioned destinations including the dam, the small oases in the middle of the lake, there are many other interesting destinations around this large lake. First of all, there are lovely cafes located around the lake, drive around the lake, you will find a lot of nice cafes where we can sit down, sip delicious coffee and enjoy the beautiful scenery around. Currently, many villas and resorts are built hidden behind the pine forests around the lake, making it the ideal accommodation for couples, families or groups of friends who want to stay to enjoy the beautiful scenery and peaceful surroundings. Besides, some attractions that should not be missed when coming to Tuyen Lam Lake are the Sculpture Tunnel where you can admire the clay sculptures. Datanla waterfall tourist area and Lavender Dalat tourist area are also interesting destinations. Truc Lam Zen Monastery is a spiritual destination that should not be missed when coming here. When driving around the lake, you should not miss the beautiful check-in points such as the pink grass hill and the dream pine forest. In short, there are so many beautiful attractions around Tuyen Lam Lake that I recommend you to stay here for at least a day to explore.
That is also one of the reasons why I never get bored when coming to Tuyen Lam Lake. There are always many beautiful sights and many interesting activities there.
