I hope you have a great day full of light and magic today 🌟 I, for one, find myself recharging energy from my last trip to the city of Merida so I'm still a little exhausted 😩 but I take advantage of sharing my visit to from my room The Stone Chapel which was dazzling on this occasion.
Hola hola mi bonita comunidad viajera 🚌🎒 ¡Bonito martes! Espero que tengan un día grandioso y lleno de luz y magia hoy 🌟 yo por mi parte me encuentro recargando energías de mi último viaje a la ciudad de merida por lo que aun estoy algo agotada 😩 pero aprovecho en compartir desde mi habitación mi visita a La Capilla De Piedra la cual estaba en esta ocasión deslumbrante.
La Capilla De Piedra is a legendary tourist place in Mérida. Going to this city and not visiting this place is like not having been there. It is part of the typical Merida tour and is also located along the entire trans-Andean highway, so avoiding it is impossible.
As I explained previously, it is located on the trans-Andean highway in San Rafael de Mucuchies at 3,140 meters above sea level. This Chapel was designed by a great sculptor called José Félix Sanchez ⚒️ the chapel was designed in honor of our lady of the coromoto for a promise he made, In the middle of the process he obtained help from the Andean people who helped place stone by stone in said chapel, which took a duration of 2 years. Once it was ready, a mass was held in honor of our lady.
La Capilla De Piedra es un lugar turístico y legendario en Mérida ir a esta ciudad y no visitar este lugar es como no haber ido, el forma parte del típico tour merideño y también se encuentra ubicada en toda la carretera trasandino así que evitarla es imposible.
Como les explique anteriormente esta ubicada en la carretera trasandina en San Rafael de Mucuchies a 3.140 m.s.n.m está Capilla fue diseñada por un gran escultor llamado José Félix Sanchez ⚒️ la capilla fue diseñada en honor a nuestra señora del coromoto por una promesa que el realizó, en medio del proceso el obtuvo ayuda del pueblo andino los cuales ayudaron a colocar piedra por piedra en dicha capilla lo cual tomó una duración de 2 años al estar lista se propisio una misa en honor a nuestra señora.
This chapel is designed and made with stones as can be seen in each of the photographs, gray and degraded brown stones and is of considerable size.
The landscape of the trans-Andean highway is simply beautiful, surrounded by enormous mountains ⛰️ with colors full of life around it, we can find small stores selling souvenirs such as small souvenirs alluding to the city, also the sale of mucuchies dogs which are the national breed among other things but always with a cozy atmosphere that you cannot stop enjoying.
Esta capilla esta diseñada y elaborada con piedras como se puede apreciar en cada una de las fotografías, piedras color gris y marrones degradados y es de tamaño considerable.
El paisaje de la carretera trasandina es simplemente hermoso, rodeado de enormes montañas ⛰️ con colores llenos de vida a su alrededor podemos encontrar pequeños almacenes de ventas de recuerdos como pequeños souvenirs alusivos a la ciudad, también la venta de perros mucuchies los cuales son la raza nacional entre otras cosas pero siempre con un ambiente acogedor que no podrás dejar de disfrutar.
The Stone Chapel has always been closed to the public, only on special occasions is it open to the public, of all the times I have visited this place it has always been closed but for divine reasons it was open on this occasion so it was very pleasant to be able to see it for the first time. Maybe, in its internal part, Joseph and his wife are buried, so the tombs are there, I had never seen them so it made a big impression on me and the design inside the chapel is simple but special at the same time, there was a historian inside From the chapel he told a little of the story which caused me a lot of emotion. Without a doubt it was a great adventure for my group of tourists as well as for me because I was able to enjoy something new.
La Capilla De Piedra siempre ha estado cerrado al público solo en ocasiones especiales esta abierta al público, de todas las veces que he visitado este lugar siempre ha estado cerrado pero por razones divinas estaba abierta en esta ocasión así que fue muy grato poder conocerla por primera vez, en su parte interna están enterrados José y su esposa por lo que ahí están las tumbas, jamás las había visto así que me causó mucha impresión y el diseño por dentro de la capilla es sencillo pero especial al mismo tiempo, había un historiador dentro de la capilla que narro un poco la historia lo cual me causó mucha emoción. Sin duda alguna fue una gran aventura para mí grupo de turistas como para mi porque pude disfrutar de algo nuevo.

La capilla de piedra en San Rafael de Mucuchies, estado Merida... Tenía la oportunidad de viajar 2 y hasta Tres veces por semana a la ciudad de Mérida manejando un camión NPR con el que me gane la vida por más de tres años y el sitio de carga era en la Av. 17 frente al aeropuerto de Mérida
Transitaba los paramos andinos a cada rato y conocí muchísimos rincones de mi hermosa Venezuela desde Sta. Bárbara del Zulia en Occidente hasta Tucupita en Delta Amacuro en el Oriente, por toda la costa y el interior del país, retornando siempre a cargar en merida en Tornisanca C.A.
Muchas veces me paré en esa capilla y es verdad, solo abre en ocasiones especiales, imagino que en esta semana Santa estuvo abierta y también puedo imaginar la alegría que sintió al encontrarla abierta y haber podido admirar su interior.
Fue una bendición que la pudiera conocer por dentro, es bellísima.

Que bueno que en su ruta de trabajo se permitió conocer lugares a su alrededor esos son los mejores regalos que nos podemos brindar a nosotros mismos, espero disfrutará de cada lugar y si esta vez seguro estaba abierto debido a semana santa no lo había pensado de esa manera, lo cierto es que ella Lucía simplemente hermosa.
