Good morning to the entire Hive community, from Buenos Aires, Argentina, Daniela writes to tell you about a magnificent place: The Iguazú Falls.
Buen día a toda la comunidad de Hive, desde Buenos Aires, Argentina, les escribe Daniela para contarles sobre un magnífico lugar: Las Cataratas del Iguazú.
They are located between the province of Misiones, Argentina, and the Brazilian state of Paraná, on the Iguazú River. There are 275 waterfalls that fall from the most diverse heights. The highest, 80 meters, is known as the Devil's Throat, AWESOME.
On the Argentine side, which is the one I know, they are within the Iguazú National Park. A perfectly cared for nature reserve that has around 450 species of birds, 80 species of mammals, a great variety of insects and within the river fauna we can find alligators, turtles, herons and fish.
Se encuentran entre la provincia de Misiones, Argentina, y el estado Brasileño de Paraná, sobre el Río Iguazú. Son 275 saltos de agua que caen desde las más diversas alturas. La más alta, de 80 metros, es conocida como la Garganta del Diablo, IMPRESIONANTE.
Del lado Argentino, que es el que conozco, están dentro del Parque Nacional Iguazú. Una reserva natural perfectamente cuidada que cuenta con alrededor de 450 especies de aves, 80 especies de mamíferos, gran variedad de insectos y dentro de la fauna fluvial podemos encontrar yacarés, tortugas, garzas y peces.
The tour took us 2 days, with the same ticket you can return, there are people who do it in half a day ... but we are adventurers, we like to go through everything.
You can take a train that takes you to the main walkways or walk through everything ... or do both!
A nosotros el recorrido nos llevó 2 días, con la misma entrada podes volver, hay gente que lo hace en medio día.... pero somos aventureros, nos gusta recorrer todo.
Se puede tomar un tren que te lleva a las principales pasarelas o recorrer todo caminando... o hacer las dos cosas!
What to tell them about the jumps? one more beautiful than the other. The walkways are very well built, they allow you to get very close without risks, it really is a delight for nature lovers, one feels like a minimal being in the face of such greatness.
Que decirles de los saltos? uno mas lindo que otro. Las pasarelas están muy bien construidas, permiten acercarte mucho sin riesgos, realmente es un deleite para los amantes de la naturaleza, uno se siente un ser mínimo ante semejante grandeza.
We did everything that could be done: sail on the river in a quiet arm to experience it from the inside, we did the excursion by truck to appreciate nature in another way and we embarked to see La Garganta del Diablo from below: I can assure you that Seeing that majestic waterfall almost on one is tremendous! (You have to carry spare clothes in your backpack because no matter how much layer you have, you end up soaked!).
Nosotros hicimos todo lo que se podía hacer: navegar sobre el río en un brazo tranquilo para vivirlo desde adentro, hicimos la excursión en camión para apreciar la naturaleza de otra forma y nos embarcamos para ver La Garganta del Diablo desde abajo: les puedo asegurar que ver esa caída de agua majestuosa casi sobre uno es tremendo! (hay que llevar en la mochila ropa de repuesto porque por mas capa que tengas terminas empapado!).

I think I would have to do several posts to show you all the photos we took. It is a unique place in the world, and if you can, you should not stop seeing it.

What a beautiful set of waterfalls no wonder it is one of the 7 wonders of the natural world. Love the animals and birds you managed to see there, this always makes one happy the wildlife is not being overpowered by too many visitors in a region.
