Hang Tien Endeavor 2 Days With Oxalis - One Of My Top Norch Adventures P.2

in Pinmapple2 years ago (edited)

I'm lucky to have such a wonderful friend, who introduced me to the Hive community. Since I first learned about Hive, I've spent 30 minutes a day in the feed section, expanding my knowledge, making new friends, and traveling the world through each and every post on this incredible platform. I ultimately realize that Hive is a long journey that necessitates patience on our part.

Today's post is to continue describing our two-day, one-night trip to Hang Tien. We just concluded day 1 in the previous post, and now let's see what we have had for the second day.

As a nature lover, I normally get up early in the morning to listen to Mother Nature's rhythms and take a deep breath of the jungle's pure and fresh air. During peak season, I used to spend 20 days a month in the jungle, where there is no pollution, no crowds, no wi-fi and no worries about boring daily lives out there so I try to savor that time as much as possible.

One of the reasons I enjoy this journey so much is because of our camping. There are no words to describe how amazing it is.
I decided to warm up by swimming for around 10 minutes at the swimming pool in the morning. As I returned to camp, some of my teammates brought their coffee to the lake and wanted to get into the water as well.

We all had a delicious breakfast at 8:00 a.m., then returned to our tents to gather our belongings and get ready by 9:00 a.m. I told everyone that today would be a long day of walking and caving, so they should bring at least two liters of water. Before we went, we double-checked that we hadn't forgotten anything at camp. It took us around 15 minutes to walk from the campsite to Hang Tien No.1. The trail was a little difficult owing to the rocky area, and the route was a little slick at times, but the view was well worth it. We had to climb a bit on the tough boulder to get to the cave entrance. The cave entrance's view was both startling and breathtaking.

By volume and size, Hang Tien No.1 is the largest cave in the Tu Lan cave system. The cave has its own beauty and uniqueness despite being a relatively dry route with few cave structures. One of the most enjoyable pastimes in this cave was riding the "Flying Fox" to cross the cave's river. To make everyone fully safe, there were two strong cables connected to the cave's rock walls, pulleys, ropes, and sets of harnesses.

The next portion was a little rocky, but not overly so. We continued on until we reached the right route, which was about 200 meters long and muddy at the end. We then returned to the T-junction and continued left, climbing a little distance to the narrower corridor that led to the steel ladder. To ascend the ladder, we'll need to use the ropes and lifeline. The final 100 meters out of the cave were quite slick.

At 11:30 p.m., we arrived at the cave exit and stopped to rest, drink some water, and have a snack.
The distance between Hang Tien No.1 and Hang Tien No.2 is only 15 minutes jungle trekking, but it was difficult since the granite was sharp. While trekking, Loi, our nice safety aide, requested that everyone put on their gloves for safety reasons. We had to hike up to a little cave opening where we felt like we were standing in front of a huge electric pan. If you stayed here for a time, it got colder. During the summer, it was an ideal location for sleeping.

The cave at Hang Tien No.2 was initially explored in March of 2016, when members of a team of British cavers based in Phong Nha town were able to conduct preliminary exploration.
The cave at Hang Tien No.2 was initially explored in March of 2016, when members of a team of British cavers based in Phong Nha town were able to conduct preliminary exploration. With the help of the jungle man who led them the way to explore the new cave. A small entrance with a strong breeze encouraging better things to be found around.
This cave is approximately 2.5 kilometers long. Tourists are permitted to explore for the first kilometer, which offers the best view of the pristine cave formations. Everyone must stay on the same path that Oxalis marked with green marks.
Our group spent an hour exploring the cave and taking photos of the beautiful cave formations.

We continued on to the final section, where there was a massive hole. The initial expedition had to utilize the rope to keep going, which was extremely difficult for tourists to do. We turned off all the lights and sat on a flat rock beside the hole to rest for a while before returning to the cave entrance.
On the way out, we enjoyed our lunch, which was served in the jungle. Climbing up and down two mountains with difficult terrain was the final challenge. It took us two hours to get from our lunch spot to the main road, where our driver was waiting with cold drinks and beers.
We went back to the office and took a fantastic shower. We bid our goodbyes to our charming porters, and returned to Phong Nha to end up the wonderful trip.
