Entre tantos lugares que visite en mi estadia en Medellín no poda faltar el pueblito magico de Guatapé, es curioso, es un sitio muy conocido y por ende tu pensarías que tiene una historia interesante detrás pero la realidad es que no, no tiene hechos relevantes que le dieran la fama que tiene hoy día... O bueno, desde mi punto de vista si tiene algo y es el hecho de que toda una comunidad se unio en pro a un bien común: Hacer de Guatapé una potencia turistica, habla muy bien de los habitantes del pueblo lo que se logró.
Among so many places I visited during my stay in Medellin I could not miss the magical town of Guatapé, it is curious, it is a well known place and therefore you would think that it has an interesting history behind but the reality is that no, it has no relevant facts that would give it the fame it has today ... Este día si que pagamos un paquete con un guía, nada costoso, apenas y incluí una charla de los lugares donde ibamos pasando y el almuerzo, lo deje claro en posts anteriores, siempre busque economia durante el viaje porque realmente no estoy en la disposición de hacer mucho más, disfrute conociendo mis limites y creanme, no siento que hubiese gran diferencia que los paquetes gold... Bueno, me refiero al nivel de felicidad, con tal de estar con mis amigos bebiendo algunas cervezas sin ninguna preocupación durante una semana fue suficiente para llenar mi espiritu.
This day we did pay for a package with a guide, nothing expensive, I just included a talk about the places we were passing by and lunch, I made it clear in previous posts, I always looked for economy during the trip because I am not really in the disposition to do much more, I enjoyed knowing my limits and believe me, I don't feel there was much difference than the gold packages.... El tour estuvo muy bueno, conocimos algunos lugares que estan previos al pueblito como: La replica del peñol, la represa y la imponente piedra del peñol. Lo que más me gusto es que pudimos pasear en un barco por la represa mientras pasamos junto a casas de futbolistas famosos como: James Rodriguez y David Ospina de la seleccion colombianas, además de que tuve la oportunidad de ver una antigua propiedad del famoso Pablo Escobar, logicamente a día de hoy esta abandonada y además no se puede acceder al lugar, solo verlo desde la distancia dentro del barco, en Medellin el nombre de Pablo no dejara de escucharse según dicen sus propios habitantes, es curioso ver como en las tiendas de recuerdos venden accesorios de el, incluso llegue a ver copias de su cedula de identidad.

Aproveché al maximo las diversidad de marcas de cerveza, cada día intentaba probar una diferente y durante el recorrido en barco pude conocer a mi favorita de todo el viaje: Club colombia dorada, desde mi experiencia ha sido la cerveza más rica que he probado en mi vida, de hecho fue la que más repetí durante el viaje, fue un ambiente muy amena, debo decir que nunca habia hecho un recorrido así antes, me refiero a que he tenido la fortuna de pasear en lancha en mi país, pero jamás un tour de este tipo y lo más importante nunca antes junto a tantos extranjeros y turistas... En mi grupo fue un Holandes, aunque era un hombre de pocas palabras.

El recorrido nos dejo agotados, apenas tocamos tierra firme nos fuimos a almorzar en la replica del pueblito, donde podemos encontrar muchos locales de ventas de recuerdos, lo tipico: Manillas, cadenas, sombreros, artesanias... Aquí compré un par de cosas para mi madre y mi chica. El restaurante tenia una vista espectacular, de hecho logre tomar una foto bastante buena del plato de ese día, pasaron algunas cosas con nosotros y nuestro grupo, me refiero a que tuvimos un par de accidentes como tumbar la bandeja de bebidas y por error golpear letrero con la cabeza, en fin, tuvimos un poco de verguenza pero por fortuna todos tenian la misma mentalidad de disfrutar cada eventualidad sin importar el retraso que generará.
The tour left us exhausted, as soon as we touched dry land we went to have lunch in the replica of the village, where we can find many shops selling souvenirs, the typical: handles, chains, hats, handicrafts .... Here I bought a couple of things for my mother and my girl. The restaurant had a spectacular view, in fact I managed to take a pretty good picture of the dish that day, some things happened with us and our group, I mean we had a couple of accidents like knocking over the tray of drinks and mistakenly hit the sign with the head, in short, we had a little embarrassment but fortunately everyone had the same mentality to enjoy every eventuality regardless of the delay that will generate. |

El pueblo es precioso, como lo pintaba tanta gente y como veía en imagenes de instagram, hay demasiadas cosas por hacer en Guatapé, debo decir que es más grande de lo que imaginaba, comí algunas cosas como obleas de mermelada y queso y las hormigas culonas aunque de esto último quisiera hablar en otro post. Existe una calle con sombrillas en el techo, una decoración muy común en los ultimos años donde los visitantes de toman fotos, obviamente quise aprovechar aunque tuve un ligero problema con el lente de mi télefono, de nuevo en uno de esos errores del día derramé un poco de cerveza y no me fije antes, igual no se nota realmente pero el tema del enfoque si que fallo.
The town is beautiful, as so many people painted it and as I saw in instagram images, there are too many things to do in Guatapé, I must say that it is bigger than I imagined, I ate some things like marmalade and cheese wafers and the "hormigas culonas" although I would like to talk about this last one in another post. There is a street with umbrellas on the roof, a very common decoration in recent years where visitors take pictures, obviously I wanted to take advantage although I had a slight problem with the lens of my phone, again in one of those mistakes of the day I spilled a little beer and I did not notice before, but it is not really noticeable but the issue of focus if I failed. |

Como un pequeño extra probé una cerveza artesanal a base de cannabis, no pensé que encontraría algo así en el pueblo, no queria irme de Medellin sin probar todo y le dí una oportunidad... Me arrepentí, primero el sabor era horrible y segundo siento que no hizo mayor efecto a comparación de una cerveza cualquiera, definitivamente las cervezas artesanales nunca seran lo mio.
As a little extra I tried a craft beer based on cannabis, I didn't think I would find something like this in town, I didn't want to leave Medellin without trying everything and I gave it a try.... I regretted it, first the taste was horrible and secondly I feel that it didn't have much effect compared to a regular beer, definitely craft beers will never be my thing. |
