I meant to tell you a while ago that I finally watched the new Matrix movie. You were right about it being pretty bad. I found the first 30 minutes to be almost unwatchable. I hate this new trend of making reunion movies and the over the top "meta" approach. The new Scream movie is exactly like that as well. They basically just recreated the first movie with new characters and then explained to the audience exactly what they were doing the whole time. Stupid.
I started the Scream movie, and after literally 20 seconds, I was like "fuck that".
I also realize I am getting a bit squeamish with years, and I don't like violence anymore. (says the MMA fan)
Did you check the new Lord of The Ring series trailer? That got me angry too.
Then they had "superfans" reacting to the trailer, that backfired.
Haha 😂 that thought popped into my mind instantly when I read that. Different types of violence though. I get it.
I'm not sure how I feel about the trailer. It was so short I couldn't really judge it. Personally I wouldn't trust the opinion of any "influencer" since it's literally their job to sell whatever anyone asks them to sell haha but I'm not against diversity in film either. This guy is being a bit harsh I think. The previous movies were an interpretation by a 2nd party, not Tolkien himself. Everyone was white because of the time the movie was produced. This is a new interpretation in a new time. So it kind of seems like he is overly offended by diversity when I don't think that the book talked about skin color and stuff. So I'm not sure if I trust this guy's opinion either.
If the production, script and acting is good then that's all I care about really. Overall I'm open to the show but my expectations are low given how everything seems to be butchered these days. Lol

I think the guy was pissed that these influencers are talking about the series and not "specialists", which I understand! Anyway the whole "superfans" video completely backfired on the producers.

Yes that's true. We watch it regularly. Probably once a year I'd say, which is actually a bit too much for me but my wife always forces me. I like it a lot but we watch it too much lol.
Yeah I get that as well, sort of like regular people talking as if they are experts or something when really it's just a bunch of random peoples opinions, and everyone has an opinion. Lol
The budget is insane. It better be good for that price. Budget means nothing a lot of times these days though. You watch a piece of crap show nowadays and are like "what the hell did they spend the money on?"
