Keeping an Areca nut in the name of God is a very old tradition for this place, and it's told, whoever does it with devotion, the God fulfills his desire.
There must be something special about the nut that really made the person who took the money replace it back which I believe would have been troubling the person's mind and act that made such person return the money back.
There is, many people have experienced it and that is how this place has grown up. And one other funny fact is that the priest who did the puja for us, was aged 88 and quite fit and told his mother died last year at the age of 109. They consider doing their job as a blessing.
