I was gonna say it looks haunted before I read through the last parts. I probably wouldn't find it so bad though, am sure they were deliberately aiming at the weird carnival feel. Probably would be a good idea not to go alone though..lol

It was really weird and perhaps that is what they are going for - but I am not sure if it should be considered a family place.
