Hello everyone! Of course we couldn't leave Rome without visiting the spectacular Vatican City; and to get there we bought a ticket for the bus at a kiosk near our accommodation for only 1.50 euros each, plus the best thing of all is that it left us very close to this place if not to say that it left us right there , so it was really very easy to get to and it would be a great day except for how hot it was.
Estaba muy emocionada por ir a este lugar, pues la verdad es que en mi familia somos católicos y me emocionaba la idea de entrar aquí y poder contarles a ellos sobre lo hermoso que es, además que solo con ver la fachada tan espectacular de la Basílica de San Pedro me emocioné y me parece genial que la entrada es totalmente gratis así que claro que íbamos a entrar allí y les cuento también que realmente habían muchas personas conociendo este lugar y es que Roma es increíble por toda su arquitectura e historia, además de la pizza, la pasta, el helado y sin duda alguna y que ahora conozco por la Ciudad del Vaticano.
I was very excited to go to this place, because the truth is that in my family we are Catholics and I was excited by the idea of entering here and being able to tell them about how beautiful it is, in addition to just seeing the spectacular facade of the Basilica I was moved by San Pedro and I think it's great that the entrance is totally free so of course we were going to go there and I also tell you that there were really many people knowing this place and that Rome is incredible for all its architecture and history, in addition to pizza, pasta, ice cream and without a doubt and that I now know from Vatican City.
Antes de entrar a la Basílica de San Pedro decidimos primero dar una vuelta alrededor de la Plaza de San Pedro (valga la redundancia) y además por supuesto hacer un par de fotos allí, lo primero que vimos y que llamó mucho mi atención fue la escultura que inauguró el papa Francisco hace pocos años que representa a los migrantes y refugiados, pero ya habían varias personas esperando para hacerse fotos en esta así que decidimos no interrumpir y caminar hacia espectacular fuente para hacer una foto en esta, y como ven también habían más personas allí para fotos.
Before entering the Basilica of San Pedro we decided to first take a walk around the Plaza de San Pedro (excuse the redundancy) and also of course take a couple of photos there, the first thing we saw and that caught my attention was the sculpture that Pope Francis inaugurated a few years ago that represents migrants and refugees, but there were already several people waiting to take photos in it so we decided not to interrupt and walk towards a spectacular fountain to take a photo in it, and as you can see there were also more people there for photos.
Ahora sí llegó la hora de entrar a la basílica, y la verdad es que pensábamos que podíamos entrar por ambos lados pero no, es solo la entrada de la derecha así que tuvimos que regresar e ir por esta. Allí tuvimos que hacer una pequeña cola de algunos minutos para poder entrar pues habían muchas personas, no tuvimos suerte con el sol tan radiante pero al menos no fue mucho tiempo allí esperando bajo el sol pues realmente la cola para pasar la seguridad es rápido. Luego llegamos a la entrada en la que nos pidieron amablemente el uso del tapabocas y a mí poner el suéter que llevaba en la mano pues la blusa que cargaba era muy corta.
Now it is time to enter the basilica, and the truth is that we thought we could enter from both sides but no, it is only the entrance on the right so we had to go back and go through this one. There we had to queue for a few minutes to get in because there were many people, we were not lucky with the sun so bright but at least it was not a long time waiting under the sun because the queue to pass security is really fast. Then we arrived at the entrance where they kindly asked us to use the mask and to put on the sweater that I was carrying in my hand, since the blouse I was carrying was very short.

Muchas personas aquí adentro haciendo fotos por todos lados, es decir, de la arquitectura de la Basílica pues es que es realmente hermosa e increíble, es un lugar que vale la pena conocer para enamorarse, también como se observa en las fotos algunas personas orando allí, otros en el bautizo de un bebé (lo cual me pareció muy genial), otros conversando con algún padre que estuviese allí para pedirle que bendiga su rosario y también y en varios lados algunos hombres cuidando de este lugar.
Many people inside here taking photos everywhere, that is, of the architecture of the Basilica because it is really beautiful and incredible, it is a place that is worth knowing to fall in love, also as you can see in the photos some people praying there , others at the baptism of a baby (which I thought was very cool), others talking to a father who was there to ask him to bless his rosary and also and in various places some men taking care of this place.
Finalmente terminamos nuestro recorrido aquí adentro, y seguimos caminando por la ciudad del Vaticano en busca de agua pues por el calor que estaba haciendo teníamos mucha sed. En el camino encontramos la Galería San Pietro Roma dónde además de vender agua tienen muchos lindos souvenirs del Vaticano y además muchos rosarios hermosos, y decidimos comprar uno para mi mamá quien es también católica y estaba segura que sería el regalo perfecto para ella aunque tal vez estos me parecían un poco costosos aún así lo llevamos.
Finally we finished our tour inside, and we continued walking through the Vatican City in search of water because we were very thirsty due to the heat. On the way we found the San Pietro Roma Gallery where besides selling water they have many nice souvenirs from the Vatican and also many beautiful rosaries, and we decided to buy one for my mom who is also Catholic and I was sure it would be the perfect gift for her although maybe these seemed a bit pricey to me but we still took them.
