Hello hivers, this draft has been on my account for a long time and I wasn't really able to pay attention because I've always been busy with a lot of stuff, especially at work. As my previous articles have all been about my last trip to South Korea, today I am going to share with you the first place on our itinerary. Say hello to Starfield Library at COEX Mall.
I'm sure several bloggers have previously talked about this location and shared their experiences, so allow me to share mine. To be honest, this was not on our agenda, but I asked them to go because our vacation would be incomplete if we didn't go to this famous Korean library.
Night Before we went to Starfield Library
We arrived at our hostel after midnight, so we needed extra sleep, especially me because I hadn't gotten much sleep before our trip. We had planned to go out at 11 a.m. the next day because we were all exhausted. We didn't have a solid plan that night other than making sure we could convert money so we could buy food or pay for the cab, etc. We were really fortunate that our location is in Myeong-dong, as it is also a fantastic spot to find delicious food at night, as they always put up the night market.
Outfit Check
Here are some photos of our first outfit in Korea. We arrived and the temperature is at 14 degrees, so most of our clothing are thick. We were enjoying the cool weather because it was autumn and almost winter.
THE LIBRARY
We agreed to take a cab down to Coex Mall, where the library is located, we went to the taxi pick up point area after exchanging Philippine pesos for Korean won. Because there was no traffic, it only took us 15-18 minutes to reach the mall. We thought the library was inside the Coex Mall, but we were wrong; it was on the other side of the mall, which we had to cross to get there. We also noticed an event outside of the mall. There was a stage set up and someone was playing and performing, and on the other side of the area were food carts selling various types of food as well as desserts.
We took use of the opportunity to snap some shots on the outside, and then proceeded inside the mall to look for a restroom before proceeding to the library. We were craving coffee and discovered a coffee shop right across from the library. We sit for a while, then plan our next day's itinerary. After our short coffee break, we decided to cross the street and visit South Korea's famous library. This library has 70,000 books and a wide range of genres, including horror, science fiction, and fantasy. I was astounded by the size of the library. This location draws a large number of visitors, including Koreans. Inside, we see a lot of people taking photos and even videos. We tried to find a book to read, but we were unsuccessful because it was not written in English.
We had a good time looking through the large selection of books. We also noticed some tables and chairs for people who wanted to stay and read or work, as there are tables where you can plug your laptop in. We spent an hour and a half just taking in the scenery and wandering around. This place also has a few stores and boutique where you can shop for souvenirs.
This is all I have to say about this library, and I'm hoping to share our next itinerary soon. And I can't wait to tell you about our incredible trip and stories.

Wow! It's impressive that the library has such a vast collection of books exclusively in their language. I suppose it makes sense considering the high cost of translating books and the desire to highlight their cultural heritage!
