After my post the other day, it feels like I'm starting all over again here in Hive but it does feel great to see old and new friends dropping by. Thanks for the warm welcome after a month of hibernating.
And during that one month that I'm away from here I've made sure that I keep photos that I can share with all of you. Let me start when I accompanied my Aunt and my cousins one Sunday morning in Antipolo, Rizal.
Antipolo, Rizal is famous for its Catholic Pilgrimage site, suman (rice cake wrapped in banana leaves) cashew nuts and a beautiful view of natural surrounds.
It was just a typical Sunday when my cousin invited me and my Aunt for a road trip to have breakfast somewhere where the air is fresher than where we are right now.
Antipolo is just about 2 hours drive from our place. We passed by in one of the church there where some people love to visit just because it was used in one of the most romantic movie here in our country. The other church which I love to call the old church was where people go for pilgrimage.
Then we go directly where we are going to eat, the said breakfast turns out to be brunch already. We had it at Cloud 9 Sports and Leisure club at the peak of the mountain. Cloud 9 has a restaurant that offers a very nice view of nature, a small museum and a hanging bridge which they called sky bridge that is going to the view deck where you will see the panoramic view of Metro Manila and the nearby towns of Rizal Province. A 360 view deck that you will reach by getting up through the sky bridge. That is if you are brave enough to walk in a hanging bridge that is suspended between two view decks.
By now I guess you might be wondering if there is an entrance fee. The entrance fee for the sky bridge is Php100 ($2) but if you eat at the restaurant the entrance fee for the sky bridge is free you just ask the waiter to give you a stub or the receipt so you can access the Sky bridge and the museum for free.
Exit from the view deck is a stairway that will entertain you with art works from the local artist. The stairway will lead you to 7th Heaven which is a shorter version of a hanging bridge but with beautiful hanging plants.
Cloud 9 is also a place to be if you want to see the city skyline during the night. A place that is preferred by lovers because since its at the peak of a mountain the temperature drops at night which gives you a cool breeze. a romantic place for lovers.
What about the food?
The food is great but I find it a little bit expensive but with that kind of view that surrounds you while eating, ok, I'll give them the credit for that.
That Sunday morning was a sweet escape for me. Fun times with my cousins and my Aunt, a beautiful luscious greenery surroundings, a food that was shared with one another and a morning that is full of laughter.
I can also say that this place changed a lot since I was last there. There are so many new establishments to visit like museums, resorts, coffee shops and restaurants. Maybe I can go back here and share it with you guys one of these days.

It's been over a decade since I last visited Antipolo. Wala pa ako anak. Hahaha. Since I had a kid, all my vacations were spent mostly at home with him. (Hirap pumasyal with a small kid.LOL)
hahaha pag uwi mo sis let's go to Antipolo. :) Yep.. luckily there are some sweet escape in between <3
