Hello my dear friends…
Just few days ago, i had an interesting conversation with my husband. We were talking about how fun Jakarta was, its like we can get any kind of entertainment and activity we can get. Its like we live in a different planet because the city we living in right now dorsnt have all that kind of things. Then when we discussed them, we begun to realize that the reason why Jakarta have all of those things must be because how hard and stressful it is to live and work in Jakarta. So many business owner make a new innovation for entertaining those stressed people. While in our city we dont have all of those facilities, life is not as rough and stressful as it was in Jakarta.
During my hiatus, i tried to go here and there, doing activities this and that, i just cant wait to share it with all of you guys in here. I hope my writing can bring new information, interest, or any kind of whatever it is to the reader. This time, i want to share the time when me and my husband had a date in M Bloc Space. To be honest, i know M Bloc as Blok M. It seems like they modernize it and make a space especially for youngsters to hang out in here. This place is absolutely interesting. It has a unique charm on it.
The place is basically a big space of old abandoned building and i think they started building each area with its real structure because we can clearly see the shape of the building and the leftover abandoned building they decided to not touch/makeover.
In the time when we were there, they have two events going on. One is from Teh Botol Sosro and the other is from Samsung Galaxy Flip.
This is the Samsung Galaxy Flip area. We can see that there is two big wall we can draw whatever we want in there and its for free. We can ask for the paint from the worker in there and we can freely expressing what we want in there. Its clearly a fun area and we choose to participate in there. I cant share what i write and draw in there because its kinda foolish and make me embarassed, what can i say since i am just not talented at that but have big motivation to do it. We also took time to look at each one of what people make. There’re people who make it badly like us, but as we can see from the pictures i attached there’re actually talented people that put their work in there. Sadly, i didnt took any close up pictures.
Now for the Teh Botol Sosro event, it was in another area away from the Samsung Flip event area but since it was not a big area, maybe just around 100 m away. One of the Teh Botol Sosro event is the gallery of the winner and participants of their drawing contest. In the first floor are the winner and in the second floor are all of their participant works.
If we saw them by passing, it will looks like they’re so similar and it was like they’re drawn by two or three of the same people. I told my husband that and then he told me to look them closely one by one. Only then there i have realized how different they’re from one another. The difference is so big and it doesnt even look similar at all. Each one of them have unique style and we can even tell the story of the drawing just by looking at them closely.

After spending more than hour enjoying the drawing, we decided that its enough and we should move on. In the next area are a small convenience store but we can also eat some instant food in there. Since we were focused for some time looking at drawing, i felt a bit stuffy so i bought one ice cream. The taste is so so but the texture of the ice cream is so bad. I will not buy it again for sure.
Lastly, in near exit door there is one more event from Teh Botol Sosro. As long as we bought two teh botol sosro (basically tea) we can get one free pass to take a picture in their photobox. We only spend 1 usd for tow bottle of teh botol sosro and one strip of photos in their photobox. Such a fun day. Actually, in the evening there will be some fun contest and in the night time there will be a concert in there. Sadly, we have to come back early as we still have to go back to our city.
