The Wonders found in Bohol, Philippines. (Part 2)

in Pinmapplelast month

Hi Hivers! Good day! How’s your day? I hope you’re still doing fine while reading my second blog about my travel to Bohol Philippines. Today, I want to share the tourist spots in Bohol besides the Chocolate Hills. In this blog, you will be transported to the wonders of Bohol before the pandemic. You will also know why Bohol is listed as one of the tourist destinations for locals and foreigners.
Since Part One of my Bohol escapade, I was a joiner in the group. The means of our travel in Bohol was using a van. Since it is a package tour where we have a tourist guide and a driver during our trip. The itinerary of our travel was listed by our tourist guide. He was the one guiding us to make our stay in Bohol be maximized and most of the spots will be visited.

Bohol Python and Wildlife Park
The first stop was the visiting the Bohol python and other wildlife. Since this place according to our guide will open earlier than other tourist spots. In the park, we saw the python and other wildlife animals like the monkeys and the endangered endemic cat called “ Maray”. In this park, I discovered that these animals are workers and not for the beautification of the park. As one of the employees of the park told the butterflies “Trabaho, trabaho, trabaho” which means “Work, work, and work” By disturbing their cage, the butterflies start spreading their wings and flying inside their area. I realized that animals work to survive then there is no reason that humans have no job. Real talk.

St. Joseph Cathedral Shine, Provincial Capitol Building, and Dove Feeding and Watching
The next stop was the St. Joseph Cathedral Shine. The church has a touch of history in it. The opposite of the shrine was dove watching. There we feed the dove and get some photographs together with the Dove. We also captured their old provincial building near the dove-watching.

The Loboc River Cruise
We took our lunch at the floating restaurant called Loboc River Cruise. Here, as you eat your lunch, the boat will move and travel around the river where you can also watch the folks dancing some folk dance of the Philippines. We enjoyed the cruise.

Tarsier Watching
Tarsier is an animal that is endemic to Bohol. In the Philippines, you can only see the tarsier in Bohol, and it cannot be transported since this type of animal is very shy and suicidal. As we watched the tarsier, the employee of the place told us to make a little movement not to disturb the tarsier.
