Greetings of the day,
Traveling to Goa has always been in my dreams and I got a chance to go there during Sigmotsav this year because of my friends who force me to go their. This first trip of goa was not only filled with colorful festivities and events. It is also provided an opportunity to enjoy natural beauty and historical sites of this city.
When we reached Our Lady of the Immaculate Conception Church the grandeur and peace of the place mesmerized me. The white walls and Gothic style architecture of the church were worth seeing. As soon as I entered insid the melodious sound of bells and the glitter of chandeliers gave me a spiritual experience. People were taking photos on the stairs outside and the decorations around the church also created a different kind of peace in the atmosphere of Sigmotsav. This place was not only spiritual but also gave a glimpse of the culture and history of Goa.
Then my journey moved towards the lighthouse of Fort Aguada. The waves and blue water of the sea were giving peace to my mind. After climbing up and seeing the surrounding view, the unique union of sea and sky was pleasing to the mind. Not far from the lighthouse, the colorful flags of Sigmotsav and the hustle and bustle of events were also visible. This view between the history of the fort and the sea became a memorable experience of my trip.
When we reached Candolim Beach the cool air of the sea and the warmth of the sand refreshed the mind. People were playing on the beach some were riding in kayaks and some were just sitting and enjoying the sea like me. The gentle waves the sand shining in the sunlight and the blue depth of the sea made the day of Sigmotsav even more lively. I walked there and enjoyed the sound of the ocean and the sea breeze and took many photos.
The beach near Fort Aguada looks very beautiful during sunset. The sky was colored in shades of gold orange pink and light purple. The sun was slowly setting into the sea water and its reflection on the waves presented a wonderful sight. I took photos of the sunset from about 8-10 different different angles. Every photo showing a different shade and colorful atmosphere. This view brought so much peace and beauty that it felt as if time had stopped.
After sunset, my companions and I started walking along the seashore. The hustle and bustle of Sigmotsav was far away but there were some smaller events and festivals going on near the sea. Children's laughter, light music sound, and the sound of ocean waves made the atmosphere very lively. I also took photos of people sitting on the beach and children playing. Every small activity there made the trip more memorable.
After a long day of traveling and the hustle and bustle of Sigmotsav, dinner at night was another highlight of my trip. We went to a local restaurant which served traditional and contemporary Goan cuisine. The flavors of seafood, mild spices and refreshing dishes made my experience even more memorable. During dinner, we were discussing Sigmotsav and looking at photos from the day. This time was not only satisfying to the stomach but also joyful to the mind.
Every moment of this trip was special — the spiritual peace, the experience of historical sites, the beauty of the ocean and the celebration of Sigmotsav. This trip to Goa not only filled my eyes and heart with happiness but also became a treasure trove of memories for me. The sunset and moments spent on the beach, and a delicious dinner at night make this trip complete.
Travel memories always remain in our hearts, and this Sigmotsav made Goa even more special for me.
