Greetings of the day,
Today was a very refreshing and memorable day. The weather was very pleasant in the morning, a light cool breeze was blowing so I was decide to go out somewhere today. After breakfast I took out my car and set out alone towards Targol Dam which is a very beautiful area nestled between forests and hills which is located near Bodeli village which is located in Gujarat state. On the way as the city was left behind the greenery increased. Trees were swaying on both sides of the road the sun's rays were filtering through the leaves and falling on the road making the entire route look like a scene from a movie.

As I progressed the path became narrower and quieter. There is no noise far and wide, just the rustling of the wind and the sounds of birds. At some places the road passed through hills which made the drive even more interesting. I would repeatedly lower the car window so that I could feel that fresh air. Many times in between I felt like stopping the car and just observing this environment for some time.
Finally, when I reached near Targol Dam, my mind just stopped there after seeing the view there. There was a vast expanse of water in front, dense trees all around and greenery spread far and wide. The water was so calm that the sky and the shadows of the trees were clearly visible. Some local people were seen fishing nearby and some tourists were just sitting and admiring the view. I parked the car and came down, and stood there on the side for some time, feeling the silence. At that moment it seemed as if all the hustle and bustle had stopped only I and nature were face to face.
There was a coolness in the air there and a depth in the atmosphere. Light sunlight was shining on the water of the lake due to which a golden glow spread all around. Some trekking trails were also seen nearby which led deep into the forest. I walked a short distance, just to see how relaxing the atmosphere was there. Only the rustling of leaves was heard at every step.
After some time I came back and sat on the bank of the lake. There was no sense of time – just the thought that there are very few moments in life when a person can truly connect with himself and nature. I thought that next time I will definitely come here with my friends or family so that they can also feel the peace of this place.
The sun was setting on the way back. The sky was colored orange and gold, and the same light was spilling onto the road. The lights of the vehicles on the way were on, but my mind was still immersed somewhere in the calm waters of the same lake. This journey was not only a trip but also a spiritual experience which taught me that real peace is not found in any noise, but in the lap of nature.
