RE: Traveling Without an Itinerary: Looking Back in Time

in Worldmappin2 months ago

I did not know about this side of yours😁. What an interesting visit to Spain you had! By the way you wrote this blog, I can say it left a deep, charming impression in your life. Did you ever go to Cádiz again? I would like to go around the whole Andalucia region some time. It definitely has something which catches me off guard.

Thanks for sharing this bright memory!!!

Hello my friend @gabmr,
I never did go back, although I wanted to very much. For most people, Spain is off the beaten path. When I went in '72 it was with my mother, who was not well at the time and wanted to see specific sights (she was losing her eyesight) as long as she could. These did not include Spain. When I went in 2000, it was for a niece's wedding in Lorraine, France. I went with my sister, who had never been to Europe, and once again I let her decide the itinerary mostly. We had a great time, but her wish list did not include Spain.

I'm not greedy. I had that summer. I have those memories. As you say, bright memories. I am content with that.

Thanks for reading and commenting. Be well 🌈
