Those aquaducts are pretty awesome. Visited one just out of Bath called Dundas aquaduct. Pretty impressive really. Made from stone not cast iron though.

we've passd over quite a few smaller ones but this one was ...YIKES, up at treetop heing for a long while in a iron trough with a sheer drop on one side. This was only 11m high. The one in wales is 40m arrghhhh
It must completely go against the grain to be in a boat up that high with nothing but air on either side.
