When fiery heat strikes, cold springs is the answer. Hey Hives and welcome to another travel blog. Today I will not go far but share one of wonders in our province just a few minutes drive away from our home – the Eriberta Spring Resort.
Eriberta is situated at Mahayag, Zamboanga del Sur. And it is known for its super cold, natural spring.
I’ve been to many spring resorts but this is the coldest spring I’ve been. It is so cold that I only withstand dipping the water by only 5-10 minutes. For the information of everyone I am kind of Allergic to super cold places. LOL. Every after few minutes exposed to super cold places, my hives eventually comes out. So, overstaying in the water causes my sole and palm getting reddish and painful.
The coldness of this place makes no use of Ice for your beer and drinks. Usually, other visitors of the place just dip their beverages on the spring even their watermelons and eventually it will be cold and ready to serve. It is your natural refrigerator.
But since this place is near and offering a natural wonder. We always recommend coming here if we have family members and friends visiting our home.
As we come in here I just let them enjoy, swim and get soaked ahead and I’ll be their photographer and after a few minutes I will enjoy and join now with them but still I am the first to come out and surrender from its cold.
What I also love this place is that it is surrounded by lots of trees and the splashing and flowing sounds of the springs makes it so refreshing and relaxing. The Spring has also levels so you could go to deeper one or the not so deep water.

On the side the strong current of flowing water makes it a bubble like and frizzy water so I decided to dip on it and it looks like a jacuzzi. So I let my family members get to try it one by one and it is super relaxing since it feels like a massage also as it splashed into your back and shoulders, it is kind of relaxing.
There’s something magical about the way cold water brings warmth to our hearts. Though the spring’s chill may numb your skin, it awakens a calmness within — a reminder that even in life’s heat, there’s always a place to cool down and breathe. Eriberta isn’t just a spring; it’s a sanctuary where laughter flows as freely as the water itself — pure, simple, and naturally refreshing.
