Do you love thrill and Fun? Splashing in turquoise water under the sun? well Salagdoong is the one for you.
Salagdoong Beach is located in Municipality of Maria, in the eastern side of Siquijor. When it comes to adventure and swimming fun, Salagdoong is the one. Aside from its clear beach and white sand, it has a very famous trademark – The Salagdoong Cliff. Where you could jump from cliff to the sea a thrilling activity for you and me.
The cliff jumping board offers you two options. If you’re conservative type but willing to do the challenge, you can go to the first board with 5 meters deep in height. And if you are more adventurous type you can go to the higher one with 10 meters. The waters below is adequately deep for you to jump.
I remember my first time jump; I tried it first on the first board and felt so nervous. It seems like an easy jump, but it really needs courage. Since tourist lining up waiting for their turn – to jump and to take picture- as they are watching and in queue too. But after you tried once, you will seek for more and decided to jump unto the higher one. It was kind of exciting and thrilling to jump and forget the stress and exhausting work-life and the more you hesitate the more nerve wrecking you would feel. By just standing there could make you doubt. But what’s the point of going there if you wouldn’t try? So, I did my first jump. Camera is set and courage is on. Run, Shout, and Jump. Splash! It was so amazing! The feeling is so great, that your worries and problems you might forget, there will be no more regret. And the best part? You could do it multiple times till heart content and as your energy last. For climbing back to the cliff takes a lot of strength too.
You need two options for you, so you can jump again, First, is by climbing the ladder beside the cliff that requires your strength to go up and might scratch you a little, or by going back to the coast and walk again from the entrance of the stone cliff that would take much time and might exhaust you later. But all in all, it would be great to try multiple times till your hearts content.
Going to Salagdoong Beach is not just about seeing the view —it’s about feeling the rush, conquering your fears, and creating memories that stay long after the splash. A moment you will surely remember and tries do once more for once is not enough for the place such as this.
Awe, Kung marunong lang Sana ako mag langoy gagawin ko rin to hahah Kaya Lang Hindi. Sobrangg fun siguro Neto at Maeenjoy ang pagligo, ang Ganda-ganda tingnan ng beach sobra 😍
