Hello friends, today I will talk about a zoo located in the city of Barquisimeto, which has a good variety of animals. Personally, I am not very much in agreement with the captivity of animals, however, it is the only way for many of us to see some species of animals.
Hola amigos, hoy hablaré sobre un zoológico ubicado en la ciudad de Barquisimeto, el cual tiene una buena variedad de animales. En lo personal, no estoy muy de acuerdo con el cautiverio animales sin embargo, es la única forma para muchos de nosotros que tenemos para ver algunas especies de animales.
This zoo is called Bararida Park and is part of my childhood, since my parents took me to observe all the animals. At that time, as I remember, there were more specimens, but today they are fighting for the conservation of the park, the maintenance of the animals and the spaces.
Este zoológico es llamado Parque Bararida y forma parte de mi infancia, ya que desde pequeño, mis padres me llevaban para observar todos los animales. En aquella época según recuerdo habían más ejemplares, sin embargo el día de hoy se lucha por la conservación del parque, la manutención de los animales y los espacios.
I must say that, in the same way, the park provides an ideal space for family sharing, for the children to observe such impressive animals. They really enjoy watching them and ask lots of questions. There are opportunities in which you get the guides next to the cages or feeding the animals and they answer all those questions you may have.
Debo decir que, de igual manera, el parque proporciona un espacio ideal para un compartir en familia, para que los niños observen a esos animales tan impresionantes. Ellos disfrutan mucho al observarlos y hacen gran cantidad de preguntas. Hay oportunidades en las cuales te consigues a los guías al lado de las jaulas o alimentando a los animales y te responden todas esas incógnitas que puedes llegar a tener.
The zoo has a main lagoon, which houses sea turtles and other large fish. In this lagoon you can also take rides in pedal boats. We did not go on this ride, but it is a different and fun activity.
El zoológico cuenta con una laguna principal, la cual alberga tortugas marinas y otros peces de gran tamaño. En esta laguna también se pueden realizar paseos con botes accionados por chapaletas tipo pedal. En esa oportunidad nosotros no nos montamos, pero es una actividad distinta y divertida.
Currently, the zoo is undergoing several investments to improve its facilities and increase the number of visitors. The zoo is relatively small, so you can make the walk and see all the animals in approximately 2 hours. All along the way you will be surrounded by large trees and green areas where you can camp or just breathe fresh air.
Actualmente, al zoológico se le está haciendo distintas inversiones para mejorar sus instalaciones y así aumentar el número de visitas recibidas. El zoológico es relativamente pequeño, por lo que puedes hacer la caminata y ver todos los animales en aproximadamente 2 horas de recorrido. Durante todo el trayecto estarás rodeado de grandes árboles y zonas verdes en los cuales puedes hacer camping o simplemente respirar aire puro.
The park has parking for cars and the entrance fee is really quite affordable: $1 per person and $2 per parking spot. I recommend you bring hydration and snacks from home because, although inside the park they sell snacks, pizzas, ice cream and other things, I think there is not as much variety as you find outside the park.

El parque cuenta con estacionamiento para carros y el costo de las entradas es realmente bastante accesible: $1 por persona y $2 el puesto de estacionamiento. Te recomiendo llevar desde tu casa hidratación y snacks ya que, aunque adentro del parque venden chucherías, pizzas, helados y otras cosas, considero que no hay tanta variedad como la encuentras afuera el parque.

No sé, si es el mismo principio del zoológico de Valencia, pero en este caso los animales en cautiverio se debe a que son rescatados sea porque son víctimas de la caza indiscriminada o porque los animales se encuentra en riesgo de extinción, es el caso como yo tengo entendido de los zoológicos públicos.
