It is afternoon before leaving home to watch the Ganga Aarti held at Har Ki Pauri in Haridwar. So, we take a bus to Haridwar from Dehradun bus stand and on the way, we plan that due to delay, it is impossible to reach at the time of Ganga Aarti, hence today we will stop at some camping site in Rishikesh and after reaching Haridwar the next day, we will participate in the Aarti. We reach Rishikesh at 06:30 in the evening where we are roaming on the road and checking out capping. Since it is February and the camp sites have not been set up yet, it took us a long time to find a campsite. After seeing Rs 2000 per person, we finalize a camp site which is located about 25 km from main Rishikesh. It was 8 o'clock in the night by the time we reached the camp site by car.
After reaching the camp site, we find out that there are only two of us in the entire camp. I liked this camp site because there is no sound of the road here, no one is here so there is no noise of any kind and there is also a small river flowing here whose gurgling sound is playing a sweet music in the ears. Not even half an hour had passed when the campers gave us pakoras and tea to eat. He further said that he will serve food at 9 o'clock.
We didn't have to do much, just kept our bags in the camp and sat near the bonfire lit by Ravi. Because it is the month of February and we are near the river and it is a valley so the weather here is quite cold. Having hot tea along with bonfire brings fun back into life. We are talking remembering our journey here and saying that we were going to watch the Aarti and look how we are camping tonight.
Well after dinner we say goodnight to the river and go to sleep. The night was very nice and warm. I was feeling that I would feel cold but it did not happen. In the morning we wake up comfortably, freshen up and have breakfast at around 9 o'clock and go round to the camp site. There is so much difference between night and day, we could not see many things at night which are now clearly visible in the light of day. Now this place looks more attractive. If there was no work, we could have stayed here for a day or two more.
After crossing the stones located behind the camp site, we reach the river present here. From here the camp site looks very small and complete. We click some photos of the river and pick up our bags from the camp site and start walking towards the road. As soon as we reach the road, we get a car which drops us at Rishikesh. So this ends our one night camping.
