Hello dear Hivers,
it all started at Thursday. When I started to pack the van. The plan was: Friday after work me and my wife, we drive home from the work, we sit in the camper and then we head direct to Italy. Ofcourse we forgot a lot of our staff, which we wanted to take with us.
Anyway we went a bit later, but we did. We forgot the leash for Majlo so we had to stop at the petshop and buy a new one. But before we did pick Our doughters friend Luna so Laura and Luna can have some fun together there. And I have to say they did.
Just the way to Lago Maggiore from Germany is beutifull. You have to cross the Swiss. I have planed the way over St. Bernardino pass. It is magnificant that what you can se up there. Throu that pass you can drive with the camper. Ok we have a 6m long Peugeot Boxer. One has to be careful on the clutch. Just be careful you do not have to burn it. But it is possible also with that 3300 kg beast. And you have to be careful not to burn your breaks when you drive down again. But it is worth to decide to go up there. On the way back one can drive through the tunel which is a lot faster.
Whole way was nice. Than we did reach Italy. In Italy is allready our camp. After 10 km we have been there. The place I booked allready 14 days ago. That was good thing to do. It was full. Camping is called Lago camping. It was not too expansive. For four persons and the dog, the van and tent I payed 160€ for two nights.
What to say abouth Italy? It is beutifull with delicius food, nice weather and water. I do highly recomend to go there and engoy your self 👍.

What a road trip!
When we plan one, first of all, we don’t have an awesome van like that one. My better half is campaigning to get one. Second, our trips are to beaches or forest camping. Not something exotic to us like a trip to Italy would be.

Thank You, it took us long time before we got one. We do camp as well just in nature. That place in Italy is no too far for us. Just something like 3,5 hours drive. And here where we live is Bodensee so we go to explore sometimes. And when the camper is there I do rent it.

Wow! The whole way is really impressive. I love to enjoy such a scenic road. The camping cost is really expensive. Have a great time!
The way it self was great. I love hills so to go there and to see there something is every time an experience.

It was great. And i did swimm there. Water was warm. Next time I need to borrow small sail boat. To have more fun on the water.
