As we enter the season of summer, we could now feel the very hot weather specially here in the Philippines and it makes us feel the cravings of cold beverages and chill out to beautiful beaches. Many group of friends who plan out a trip for like few months away before summer because this is the best time to relax and release all the stress hormones that captivates ourselves after many months of working and depressive episodes. A part of those plans is the constant prep of summer outfits, right? Are you guilty about it? Because I am. Lol ! we’ll we don’t need to feel shy about it because that’s a girl things and we always wanted to look good in those intagrammable pictures.
Now, I am writing a blog about my recent trip with my husband at Ogtong Cave, Bantayan Island. It was a fantastic experience because this is actually my first time to visit this place and at first, I really thought that I’m just literally be seeing just a cave but to my surprise, as we arrived to the place, it is a nice resort with pools, accommodation and the highlight which is the Cave. What I love about the place is you could have it all, I mean, If you want to just enjoy the view there’s a few places that you can sit in or lie down and if you want to swim- you could also have choices whether at the pool or at the beach.
The cave itself is quiet amazing, it is not that big but you can actually enjoy it swimming inside. As someone who doesn’t know how to swim, I just stayed at the side part of the cave which is not too deep. The water in the cave is cold which is perfect for this hot weather and it actually relaxes your mind and body. Every time we went on a trip, there is always a part of me that feels a little bit of disappointed because I really wanted to swim freely but I don’t have that skill and I’m always afraid to go far in the deep part. I hope it’s not too late because I really wanted to learn how to swim… if only there’s an opportunity like swimming lessons then without hesitation - I’m just going to grab it.
Even though it is just the two of us, we really enjoyed the entire trip and it made us feel more relaxed and cherished each other’s company. I happen to recently know that there are a lot of tourist spots in Bantayan Island that I haven’t visited yet though I already went to there twice. Maybe soon, if I have a chance I will definitely go back there and visit the places that I haven’t visited yet and also, I wanted to do a seafood mukbang there… cross fingers.
