Here is a local ceremony we stumbled upon on our road trip from Almora to Munsiyari đ» (Mountains of India)
The land here is so loved and blessed by the locals. The water for the town comes directly from the waterfall and is used in the temples and for drinkingâŠ
I did not know this because the sign saying âNO SWIMMINGâ was on the path that people usually take.
I climbed excitedly up the hot rocks jumping from one to the next all the way to the waterfall and jumped straight in.
As I was getting out, beaming and wrapped in a colourful sarong, the ceremony arrived at the top of the waterfall.
Perfectly timed to see their new âme flavoured waterâ.
