Today I have the pleasure of inviting you to explore and walk the streets of Havana at night, appreciating its urban styles, heritage buildings, and the natural nighttime atmosphere of the capital. Also, to wander through a city full of elegance, history, and illumination.

Hoy tengo el placer de invitarlos a conocer y caminar las calles de la habana en la noche, apreciando sus estilos urbanísticos, edificaciones patrimoniales y ambiente natural nocturno de la capital. También el transitar por una ciudad llena de elegancia, historia e iluminación.

Beginning the night tour, we find the "Alicia Alonso" Gran Teatro Nacional, one of the most important cultural centers in Latin America. Located opposite Parque Central and very close to the Capitol building, this edifice stands out for its grand Neobarque façade and its history intertwined with dance and the performing arts in Cuba.
I couldn't visit the inside, as there was no theatrical performance at that moment, and it was closed to the public. The building has hosted opera, ballet, theater performances, and concerts of all kinds. Its current name pays homage to the great Cuban ballerina Alicia Alonso, founder of the National Ballet of Cuba.
Comenzando el paseo nocturno, se encuentra el Gran Teatro Nacional "Alicia Alonso", uno de los centros culturales más importantes de América Latina. Está situado frente al Parque Central y muy cerca del Capitolio, este edificio destaca por su gran fachada neobarroca y su historia ligada a la danza y a las artes escénicas en Cuba.
No pude visitarlo por dentro, no había actuación teatral en ese momento, estaba cerrado al público. El edificio ha acogido espectáculos de ópera, ballet, teatro y conciertos de todo tipo. Su denominación actual rinde homenaje a la gran bailarina cubana Alicia Alonso, fundadora del Ballet Nacional de Cuba.
Very nearby are the 'Gran Hotel' Resorts, with their architectural beauty offering views of the Capitol, and the newest addition to Havana, the 5-star Hotel Mystique Regis.
Its furnishings are styled to evoke the 1940s era, combined with contemporary touches, lending the establishment a modern vision. Its spaces have been optimized to make the most of natural light with a unique and peculiar charm. Both are ideal for nighttime dinners.
Muy cerca están los Resorts 'Gran Hotel' con su belleza arquitectónica de vista al Capitolio y el más nuevo realizados en La Habana, Hotel Mystique Regis de 5 estrellas.
Su mobiliario está ambientado en el estilo de la época de los años 40, combinado con toques de contemporaneidad, que le otorgan una visión moderna a la instalación, cuyos espacios se han optimizado de manera que se aprovecha al máximo la luz natural con un encanto peculiar y único, los dos ideales para cenas nocturnas.
Leaving the Gran Hotel, you can see the most emblematic icon of Havana fully illuminated: "El Capitolio". Its golden dome dominates the nighttime landscape and becomes an urban beacon guiding visitors.
It is an immensely important work in Cuban history, one I would highly recommend including on any tourist itinerary. I loved it; I toured it during the day, and even more so after having read so much information about it. Right now, I'm longing to go back and enjoy it once more.
The truth is, for both Cubans and foreigners, it is an undeniable icon of Havana's cityscape, an inspiration that recalls the spirit of a city that is now half a millennium old.
Al salir del Gran Hotel, se puede observar completamente iluminado el icono más emblemáticos de La Habana pues "El Capitolio". Su cúpula dorada domina el paisaje nocturno y se convierte en un faro urbano que guía al visitante.
Una obra importantísima de la historia cubana, que recomendaría hacer escala turística, a mí me encantó, lo recorrí de día y más después de haber leído tanta información que ahora mismo tengo deseos de regresar y disfrutarlo una vez más.
Lo cierto es que para cubanos y foráneos es un ícono indiscutible del paisaje habanero, una inspiración que recuerda el espíritu de una ciudad que ya tiene medio milenio.
Walking towards more central areas frequented by the capital's residents, you'll find the Hotel Inglaterra, located near the Gran Teatro Nacional. It serves as a strategic point for discovering the charm of the entire colonial city.
Its Neoclassical façade dates back to 1875, and it was declared a National Monument in 1981. Its lobby is illuminated for shows and open-air performances, with a contrast between the light-colored stone and the dark sky, creating a solemn, almost cinematic atmosphere.
Caminando a lugares más céntricos de público capitalino, se ubica próximo al gran teatro nacional; El Hotel Inglaterra. Convirtiéndose en un punto estratégico para descubrir el encanto de toda la ciudad colonial.
Su fachada neoclásica, data de los años 1875 y declarado monumento nacional en 1981. Un lobby alumbrado para shows y espectáculos al aire libre, con un contraste entre la piedra clara y el cielo oscuro, creando una atmósfera solemne y casi cinematográfica.
Crossing Central Park, I continued through the streets of the Historic Center, where colonial and eclectic buildings line up elegantly. And right across the street stands the majestic Fine Arts building, with its eclectic style and Neobaroque influence.
Inside, it holds a valuable and rich collection of universal artworks and is the largest in the insular Caribbean. It is designated as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The balconies, arcades, and illuminated corners evoke another era, while the classic pink car parked on the avenue adds an iconic touch to the landscape.
Atravesando el parque central, continuó por las calles del Centro Histórico, donde los edificios coloniales y eclécticos se alinean elegantemente. Y justo al cruzar la calle, se encuentra el majestuoso edificio de Bellas Artes con estilo ecléctico e influencia neobarroca.
Dentro atesora una valiosa y rica colección de obras universales y es el mayor del Caribe Insular. Es catalogado Patrimonio de la Humanidad por la UNESCO. Los balcones, las arcadas y las esquinas iluminadas evocan otra época, mientras el automóvil clásico de color rosado se parquea en la avenida y añade un toque icónico al paisaje.
Then, I went in search of a refreshing drink to cool off during my walk with a classic Cuban beverage, Cristal beer, the favorite of Cubans. I enjoyed it from the heights at the famous Gran Manzana Hotel, a jewel of modern Old Havana.
This hotel is ideal for ending the night: sitting down, having a drink, and watching how the city remains alive even after midnight.
Luego salí en busca de refrescar el paseo con una rica bebida cubana, la cerveza Cristal la favorita de los cubanos. La disfrute desde las alturas en el famoso hotel gran manzana una joya de la habana vieja-moderna.
Este Hotel es ideal para cerrar la noche: sentarse, tomar una bebida y observar cómo la ciudad sigue viva incluso después de medianoche.
By around 9 pm, I went to find dinner, and what better place than the Iberostar Grand Packard Hotel, located along the expansive Paseo del Prado. Visually, it's spectacular—its lobby and interior décor. I was recommended by friends from the city; according to them, we would enjoy the most exclusive services and the best views that reveal the streets of the historic center, which is full of colonial architecture, vintage cars, and authenticity.
Ya en el período de las 9 pm fui en busca de cenar, y que mejor que el Hotel Iberostar Grand Packard, ubicado en extenso Paseo del Prado. La vista es espectacular, su lobby y decoración interna, fui recomendado por los amigos de la ciudad, según ellos disfrutaríamos de los servicios más exclusivos y las mejores vistas que descubra las calles del centro histórico, que concentra arquitectura colonial, coches de época y autenticidad.
The truth is, everything in this hotel is beautiful. I surrendered to Cuban cuisine and got to experience the most genuine Antillean flavors in the hotel's bar and restaurant, where I truly appreciated the taste of gourmet cooking.
The team of chefs is astounding in terms of their carefully crafted specialties, made with the highest quality ingredients. You won't find anything like it outside of this wonderful resort.
La verdad todo es una belleza en este hotel, rindiéndose a la cocina cubana y acercándome a los mejores sabores antillanos más genuinos en el bar y restaurante de la instalación, donde aprecié el sabor de la cocina gourmet.
El equipo de chefs es sorprendente en cuanto a especialidades elaboradas cuidadosamente, con ingredientes de la más alta calidad. No encontrarán nada igual fuera de este maravilloso resort.
Finally, I went to the heights of the Hotel Paseo del Prado, the new five-star tourist facility in the Cuban capital, which resembles a refined ship and welcomes visitors at the entrance to Havana Bay.
This new hotel, located right at the intersection of the bustling Paseo del Prado and the Malecón, features façades with large, illuminated glass windows and an observation deck offering impressive views of the waterfront promenade, the Castillo de los Tres Reyes del Morro, the historic center in general, and the San Salvador de la Punta fortress.
This entire nighttime stroll was alongside my dad, who always accompanies me on all these adventures of getting to know, learn about, and explore the most beautiful places in my country by his side.
Por último, fui a las alturas del Hotel Paseo del Prado, la nueva instalación turística de cinco estrellas en la capital cubana, que simula un barco refinado y recibe a los visitantes en la entrada de la Bahía de La Habana.
Este nuevo hotel, que se encuentra justo en la intersección del concurrido Paseo del Prado y el Malecón, tiene fachadas con grandes ventanas de vidrio alumbradas y un mirador, de impresionantes vistas del paseo marítimo, el Castillo de los Tres Reyes de la Colina, casco histórico en general y la fortaleza de San Salvador de la Punta.
Todo este paseo nocturno fue junto a mi papá que siempre me acompaña a todas estas travesuras de conocer, aprender y recorrer los lugares más bonitos de mi país de su lado.

With the great National Theatre I was already impressed because the night view creates a spectacular contrast in your photographs, the lighting brings out the style of the buildings and the beautiful details in the windows, doors, towers and the beautiful balconies can be seen with precision.
That view from the grand hotel towards the capitol is also amazing, and the fact that they are night shots, which fascinates me, makes everything look in a very different way, it's another kind of beauty. Thank you so much @avdesing for the support! Let me tell you, if you ever visit my country, Havana is an absolute must—especially Old Havana and Central Havana. That's where the colonial structures and architecture will truly amaze you. There's so much history from past eras, you couldn't cover everything the capital has to offer even in 100 posts for Hive.
And it’s true — at night, these areas of the historic center are incredibly beautiful. They're well preserved and beautifully lit, since they're both national treasures and part of humanity’s cultural heritage.
